Finishing at 8-8 isn’t a good look with all that talent in Arizona. How long do you give him before he flames out? I say 2 years max.

They play backyard football and it will never be successful in the NFL. See Chip Kelly.

Fun to watch and when it’s clicking it looks amazing, but that is never going to work in the NFL.

And before someone says “Andy Reid says hi”, The bachelor and chip kelly aren’t Andy Reid. And Andy Reid doesn’t have the same O.

He's gone next year if they start off terribly or they miss the playoffs. Guy is a complete and utter fraud.

As others have stated, he has improved upon their record, but the NFL "don't play 'round"... just about everybody in the NFL is on a short leash... Obviously proven coaches might get a little longer depending on the circumstances, but if your name isn't Bellichick, Carroll, Reid, Tomlin or Payton you're at risk. The "Not For Long" monicker is for real.

He's better suited for the college game. He'll flame out in the NFL, go back to college and get picked as HC for some mid level program like an Auburn. He's not gonna go be HC at a big-time program, but he'll have colleges better than Tech kicking the tires.

He is an OC. He will keep getting jobs bigger than him because he looks like he should be successful.

Next year is his year that he has to have playoff appearance and or double digit win. NFL is not patient.

The NFL is full of a bunch of morons. The most successful franchises give coaches time. The ones who have sucked the last 30 years are the ones who change coaches every 2 years.

Tomlin was a huge risk when hired by Pittsburgh, but Rooney’s are patient (only 3 coaches since 1968).

At any rate, KK DGAF...

How many years was Jason Garrett HC in Dallas? Marvin Lewis in Cincinnati? Lovie Smith in Chicago? Plenty of places have given mediocre to bad coaches plenty of time to show their mediocrity. Tomlin WAS a risk, and promptly proved worth it. If the dog's gonna bite, he'll bite as a pup.

Not sure how patient the Rooney’s had to be. Tomlin won the division year one and had a Super Bowl ring by year 2.

When was the last time the Cards were relevant? Prolly under Jim "Baby Face" Hart in the mid 70's for like one season. I'd say he did reasonable well, maybe beat expectations even, since he bet on the dwarf for his QB which turned out to be not such a bad evaluation.

They were 3-13 the year before he got there. I think he has them on a good trajectory. I'm not sure if he's a great coach at that level, but I don't think 8-8 in his 2nd season is a huge red flag given the franchise's recent history.
He’s a loser

Good coach or not, can you even imagine the tail he drags home?

They were in the Super Bowl not very long ago and very nearly won. It was a miracle finish by Pittsburgh.

That says a lot about ownership's investment in their coach and their team. I think a lot of owners like the idea of being owners and the perks that come with it, but the Rooney's treat this like a business and they really seem to love it. It reflects in their sustained success.
