Bravo gentlemen. Fantastic effort and game.

Cosmi was excellent, Chaisson had to move around to get any action. We have a monster here.
Roschon had that fire and really played well with limited opportunity. Had the mentality you want in a leader. Not bad toting the rock and solid in the blitz pick up for the most part. His passion was great.
Duvernay was the star. What a progression. Very strong after contact and awesome hands.
Eagles answered the bell. Kid is going to be a stud.

Job well done gents.

Cosmi had his moments. And then he had his "oh Jesus that sucks" moments.

He has talent. But he's not consistent.

I am probably going to get a ton of hate from this and I didn't watch as closely as I should have, but Collin Johnson disappeared against LSU. He doesn't appear to have the physicality to match up with physical corners. Am I wrong and just missed the doubles or something LSU was throwing at him all night?

Read somewhere that Cosmi can leave after this year because he is a RS Soph (think Earl Thomas) some pundits are saying he secured at least a 2-3rd grade off of this game alone.

I didn’t see if he was doubled but there were times I did see one on one and he was out played.

CJ isnt very tough, gets rattled by strong db's. But he'll probably have 200 yards against Rice.

CJ had a solid second half. He had 3 catches for 49 yards. He would have scored the last td but the LSU who knew he was beaten committed pi. He did fine overall. And I can't really fault him for the onside kick. That was agonizingly close.

Collin Johnson is good, but when the game is on the line I'm not sure he'd be my first target.

I did go back and watch, and Derek Stingley (who is only a freshman, but already being considered as one of the best cover corners in NCAA) followed him all over the field and did a good job of limiting him. Stingley is going to be very, very good!

The L$U cb was draped all over cj. It's obvious that the L$U staff told the db's to commit pi when in doubt. I think the cb was called 3-4 times for pi. L$U really pushes the rules, well same as recruiting, etc.... dirty program.

i don't think pi is pushing the rules. the cramping thing is shady, but dpi when beaten is akin to not giving up a layup. there are repercussions but the other team will have to "earn it"

Did u not see the play where 18 year old freshhman Stingley out muscled him for the ball in the 1st half? 6'6" 22 yr old beaten by a 6' 1" 18 year old? Ball was ultimately ruled incomplete but Johnson should have won that battle easily. He did not.

Now compare that to what 18 yr old Jake Smith did on his TD catch in the 4th qtr where he won his battle with the LSU db who thought he had a pick. Jake yanked the ball away from him for the score.

By mid season Duvernay and Eagles will be our best clutch receivers. CJ has all talent in the world but he's not super physical. This is probably why the coaches challenged him a few years back and put him on the bench for a game or two.
