I am 52 and in pretty good health. No diabetes or high cholesterol, but I have a family history of diabetes (dad). I am at that point where I am wondering what types of supplements I could and should be taking for general aging issues.
I add a scoop of collagen powder and a few shakes of cinnamon my coffee . The collagen is supposed to promote hair, skin, nail growth and overall joint health. Cinnamon is supposed to help with cholesterol and blood sugar. Plus, the cinnamon improves coffee taste.
So, if you are 50+, what are you taking and, most importantly, why? What is the supplement supposed to do? I don't care about workout shakes (pre or post) or a multivitamin. I am looking at specific supplements for specific issues.
Thanks. Hope this helps someone else.
**Edit: I am not asking about diet and exercise and Im not asking about losing weight.**
