My son plays baseball. He is entering the 8th grade at a smaller school in the DFW area. Already, the parents on his summer team are worrying about if their son will make their high school team. So much so that a few are thinking about having their son change schools before their 9th grade year.
I imagine the competition at big high schools is fierce. But worrying about it now seems overboard. Can anyone speak to their experience on what this process is like?
Edited at 2:15 p.m.: It seems so many people think this post was about the kids playing in college. It was not. It was merely about younger boys making their high school varsity baseball team when they become juniors and seniors.
