Dear aggies

Oh my God… Just stop with this “on the road at night in the SEC” bullshit. Do you remember when no one had ever beaten tOSU in The Shoe at night? I remember hearing about it non-stop, until Texas went in there a whipped that ass. ND beat you in your own house this season, just like UGA best us in ours. It’s called a home field advantage, not a home field certainty.

Yes, we didn’t have great games against Vandy and arkie in their houses. Vandy is much better than their record, and they’ve been trying to prove something this season, so they went toe to toe with us. Do you think you would’ve gone in and won against them? I don’t. The arkie game was rekindling a very heated rivalry, so they went toe to toe with us in their own house, and we still beat them by double digits. You only beat them by 4 points in your own house. More telling is that arkie outplayed you, and their 3 turnovers gifted you that win. Texas never trailed arkie, and our game was never in question.

Do you remember that your best wins were at home? You ags didn’t have Bama, UGA, Tenn on your schedule this season, the only SEC team gifted that.

Your ags have played mediocre to bad teams all year, so you take that 8-3 record as a sign that you’re good. But, how have you played against those teams? Not well, honestly.
Arky gifted you precious turnovers as well at key points. Don’t overhype Vandy with 28K fans with most being Longhorns. Come on now. Vandy started hot and now they are Vandy. I get the hope as again this board is fighting what all critics are saying is that you haven’t played anyone and when you did you got handled. Have you heard me say we have had a rough schedule? Nope.

BBA...I agree with you on the false start thing....but I always thought it was more about calling every players room every 15 minutes all night long that had more to do with that.

For a bunch that prides themselves on honor codes and such, they sure do some low down crap.

Aggy doesn't have much of a defense and your QB is going to get played.... Add more speakers please.

And no breakfast prepared by the hotel. That's when Coach Brown quit staying in BCS.
That's when Major got sick, another player had a seizure on the bus trip to the stadium. And both schools agreed (bc of the bonfire tragedy) not to use the verse in our school songs that was geared to each other. The Longhorn band and UT crowd followed orders, the aggy band/fans did not. From there, the hate was back. Aggy rb, Jamar Toombs, yelled "F**k Texas", in our end zone that had alot of young kids, during pregame. We weren't too respectful after that.
Went to a bcs restaurant after the game. They refused us service. Guess it was our burnt orange attire!🤘🏻

Do you remember the time that corps turd threw horseshit on the Texas band? Honor my ass….

The Texas D also made 6 sacks and held arkie to under 250 yards of total offense , while y’all gave up almost 400 yards. But, yeah… Texas only won because of 2 turnovers. You realize that’s not really helping your argument, right? The pigs have a horrible offense, and can’t hang on to the ball. And you still almost lost to them at home.

What is your obsession with Vandy at home, and how many Texas fans were there? Who gives a shit? I’m not the one making home field advantage arguments. You are.

I disagree with the defensive side of the ball. It provides more energy to the defense and makes the communication harder on the offensive side of the ball for the opposing team. I agree when the ball is snapped it’s football. Math doesn’t lie when you look at how many false starts are called between home and away. Teams records are also better at home then on the road so whatever you want to call it, weird crap happens at night and there are more upsets against ranked teams at home.
You disagreeing with clob is so cute, since I’m betting good money he is the only one between the two of you who has actual firsthand experience.

Gifted turnovers? Doesn’t a good defense and scheme create turnovers?

It’s hilarious how Aggies focus so much on unrelated shyt like night games versus home games. It’s football and you have to be prepared. You line up on the field and play no matter where and when. If you’re focused on crap like day or night games or the schedule and record of your rivals’ opponents it’s a sure fire indication that you’re soft and mentally weak.

The SEC is a gauntlet or Texas hasn’t played anyone? Which is it?

I was responding to the post about we were gifted turnovers. So if we get turnovers, the defense doesn’t cause them and we were gifted. If you get turnovers it’s your elite defense. Got it.

Saw this on the Twitter. I think it's legit.

Away Night games record:
Texas 0-0
S car 0-0
Georgia 1-2
Ole Miss 0-1
A&M 0-2
Vols 0-2
Missouri 0-1

Total: 1-8

It's a thing.

For 12 ? 13 years aTm has been playing the secsecsec card, so this " on the road...and now night game on the road" is just an extension. Not to say we will win...( Which we will)...but we have played many big games at night on the road.

Don't you have a Yell Practice to go to?

Haven’t played that many night games in the SEC on the road. I’m telling you, until you go experience it you won’t understand it. I KNOW you have won some big games on the road, but I thought the same thing and these SEC schools are a different freaking breed of people and different environments. I’m not making excuses. We should have won the damn games and shot ourselves im the foot against Auburn. South Carolina just game out and beat our asses. Road night games at Auburn, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Florida, LSU, annd now Texas annd OU and to a lesser extent Kentucky. Vandy and Miss St are not that hostile along with Missouri.
Currently Texas is the only school that has not played more than one game against a team with a winning conference record and 0 night games.
I’ll say this one more time..Texas is a very good team. I think they are a top 5 team but their road has been the easiest path with the schedule, times and road games. Texas has a better team than A&M but all things can even out a bit with the conditions…Vegas agrees with only a 5.5 point favorite.

Obviously you’re locked in on this. Cool. Last year counts in my book. The road game at night against Alabama (an SEC great team that was in the playoff at years end). This win alone got us in the playoff. A place y’all haven’t even been close to yet. And with 3 losses your only chance now is to win your next two games. If you’re banking on a night game at ATM to be the deciding factor, good luck with that. I’m sure you remember what happened the last time we played a night game at ATM??

Yes you got a mythical targeting call to bail you out. I remember.

BBA and Old School Cat....I get it. My Dad was an Aggy....graduated in 1934... Look up Onion head. He was a bad bastard...heavyweight Intramural wrestling champ two years in a row...2nd in boxing...I was Best man to a great friend Aggy as well. I get it.

But do not tell me about all this mojo...the game will be what it will. Be.

If we win, we win. If y'all win...see you on the other side....

Texas vs Alabama 34 - 24

Texas vs Michigan 31 - 12

We'll be fine. Defense and Oline travel.

This game won't be that close.

They always try to cheat. Technically, by sec rules they cannot make any artificial noise (ghey speaker noise) to interfere with Ewers snap count. We'll see how the officials police this bullsh!t.

I agree with this even though it’s sarcastic. Weird crap happens at night. You think OU is better than Bama? Nope. Arkansas better than Tennessee, etc. I think overall Texas has the better team. Do I think we can stand toe to toe at home with the energy of the crowd? Absolutely. If the defense can pressure Quinn like they harass many other QBs at home then I think we can shut Texas down. I think the Texas defense is legit so turnovers are going to be key and we have to win that battle. We crapped the bed on the road lately losing 11 of 14 games. That sucks. We are different at home especially at night.
Better prepare for Manning!

I just choked on my beer reading this response. You’re a child. Case McCoy, and I repeat, Case McCoy beat you at your house, at NIGHT, and he was terrible. A targeting call did not change the result. The win was given to us by God. We were destined to win as y’all ran off to the sec sec sec. Kinda poetic really. Good luck Saturday.

Are aggies really having talking about getting screwed on penalties? Let’s talk about the Auburn game, with that no call on the defensive holding in the end zone, followed up by that bullshit phantom OPI call. The SEC refs literally tried to hand you the game. You’ve been getting away with that crap this entire season, so y’all have no room to talk about bad calls.

Well, penalties are like this, when your team is playing you see what they are doing to YOUR team. You do realize the Kentucky game, Arkansas game and most others were LOTS of comments here about bad calls. When you are watching an A&M you will zero in on what the Ags are doing and not watching the other team. It’s what EVERY team does. Texas player punches a Kentucky player and a Kentucky player responds..Texas fans missed that sequence because of selected eyes. It’s how it works. I’m not complaining about penalties. Most of the time I’m harassing you guys it’s out of fun. Again, some of my best friends are Longhorns. I respect your program but just like giving you hell just like my buddies which give it right back.

Not all missed or bad calls are even. We’ve been on both sides of it and you have too. Hopefully the refs call a good game and don’t try to interject themselves into it. I swear some of these refs love to make a big call as a power trip.

Agreed..usually you know pretty early. Nothing pisses me off though when they let things go all game and then throw the flag in the last 2 minutes. We all know there is holding every play, some form of defensive holding or PI on every play and all kinds of other crap. Just be consistent all the way through is all I ask.

Soooooo there was no targeting? In your opinion?
I think if it was was it was the softest thing they called all night. The guy was pulling off the hit and they collided. It’s over and done with. It was kind of a joke of the poster saying do we remember the last time we played at Kyle and that sticks out to me being a 1st and 15 play would have been 2nd and 15. They could have gotten it anyway but behind the sticks is different. Announcers said it was a horrible call but I just hate when officials put their mark on a game where it didn’t need it. It had no bearing on the play. Here and done, and I’m looking forward to this new rivalry.

Let me ask you an honest question…In the last 30 quarters not counting overtime, an A&M opponent has not been called for holding. I’ll let you do the math. Oh hell, I’ll help you out, that’s more than 7 games. Hmmm. I won’t complain about the penalties, but that doesn’t pass the smell test.
I’ll make another bet with you…if this doesn’t go well on Saturday night for you this board will be half full of posts about the officiating.

Ok, show us a clip of a missed holding in those games. There's bound to be some.

Also, I guess you are accusing the SEC of some sort of conspiracy to keep you down?

I remember some no calls when a couple of aggy DL teed off (late hit/targeting) on a couple of Texas qbs (thinking Major and Colt).
