Dear aggies

While down there, did you ever take the guys to check out boys town?
All the time. I've seen the donkey show about 50 times. We liked going for the cheap beer. I never did the pay for play stuff- not my style. But going was fun because it was taboo- the beer was dirt cheep, and there was a bad ass place to eat about 400 yards from there that had best damn Mexican food I've ever had. Hell, it was better than Crosby's in Acuna.

The donkey show was what everyone wanted to see. They would also have warm up acts like the banana show or a magician who did tricks that ended with him having sex on the stage with one of the ladies.

Those were the days when we could go to those places and never worried about getting back safely. Nowadays if you go to any red light district in Mexico it’s like having a death wish. I’m not sure if boys town or red light districts are still a thing in Mexico.

Aggy loses bowl game in embarrassing fashion against 6-6 team-
Then tries to justify to aggy that bowl games "don't really matter".......

Don't let them fool you. I have an Aggie and she is disappointed. She is in a state of disappointment with them all the time. She just hates the fact that I'm happy that Texas is in the SEC and is already in the playoffs.

I did half my growing up in South Texas, and Laredo was about 2 hours from us. In high school it wasn't uncommon for us to get drunk at the dance hall in Mathis on a Saturday night and then somehow end up in Boys Town. The trick back then was to keep a carton of Marlboro Reds under the seat of your truck to toss to the Mexican police, so they wouldn’t mess with you.

Bruh--- are you about to tell me a Rifle Club or Fiesta Marina story?

I encourage each of you to journey over to Texags and peruse the thread titles.

Aggy is 100% convinced that Texas:

1. Pays the refs
2. Controls the replay booth official
3. Has bought off the NCAA
4. Had paid off the playoff committee
5. Has control over the SEC and it's commissioner

Never in my life have I ever bore witness to a group of people who were so infuriated, so butthurt, so incredibly eaten up with a school (that they aren't even playing) losing a football game.
I get aggy wanting Texas to lose the week we play them. Or wanting Texas to lose so aggy could slide into a better position- or advance their standing-- but their season is over---- and after beating Clemson by 2 TDs- and now beating ASU- aggy fans have literally gone full on bat shit crazy. Even a few of the people that are my close friends- (who are aggys)- seem to be losing their fvcking minds.
Yo-- it's a game. A game that you don't play in. A game that you never played in. For a team that you never put the pads on for.

Out
A guy I've known for over 40 years called me after the game--- I've literally known this dude since grade school- and he's chewing my ear off over a targeting call. I'm bouncing my kid on my lap- trying to get him ready for a nap- and my friend just won't stop gnawing at the fvckimg phone- like I've got a direct line into the replay booth or some sh!t.

Then I go on Texags this evening and Ho Lee Fvck- it's like a damn virus has spread through these people. They are losing their fvcking marbles. They aren't just upset- or frustrated- they're fvcking FURIOUS. Like, take hostages furious.
In what fvcking world is it OK to get this mad over a game?

You would think they would be happy for their SEC brethren😁
Ya... that doesn't work for aggy any more. That sh!t flew out the window the moment Texas came to the SEC and out performed aggy in year one.
You can literally track the decline curve on Texags and pinpoint the moment that "pride in conference affiliation" went right the fvck out the window.

Ruben Trigo to Derek Seago for the win.
That game was a wild Hollywood ending, for sure. Everyone thought Coach D was nuts when he told us to let them score. I actually used that story once in a leadership paper about trust.

I also fondly remember Seago running a kick back for a TD earlier that season, and I swear he ran east and west more than he ran north, so it probably took him 175 yards to actually reach the end zone. I think that was against George West, but I’m getting old and my memory is slipping.

Those were some good times back then.
