A January target of Texas, James Johnson has the Longhorns in his top group and he tells Rivals he will now make an unofficial visit to Austin for a spring practice April 12. He has a slew of visits to be taken, including several officials, but UT hadn't been able to crash the party until now.
Johnson is finishing track season in Fort Myers before a transfer for Miami Northwestern High School.
