Man, listening and watching pretty much any media outlet, and I'm surprised how everyone is picking LSU to win and some to win in blowout. It could be the good 'ol SEC favoritism again but the main points people keep bringing up are these:
1). LSU has probably the best defense in the nation and they will shut us down;
2). Texas only has 1 good & healthy RB and you can only beat LSU by running the ball b/c their secondary is elite against the pass. Ehlinger + Ingram won't be enough of a ground game to win;
3). Texas defense is good but too young vs a veteran improved LSU offense.
I mean all of the above points make sense and i get the data points on why LSU should win.
But i keep coming back to the idea that i just can't see Sam and Herman letting us lose this game at home. I also think the pundits are seriously undervaluing our D and how Orlando is so good against non-dual threat QB's like Burrow (e.g. Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy, Jack Fromm etc...).
