"That was one of the checkboxes that I had unmarked with Miami. I never threw with him, never seen him live. So getting to throw with him live at UM, was great. His arm is very explosive. He's got great timing. He's very aggressive. He's a great quarterback for sure."
Ffrench considers Tennessee and Texas as the other top schools for him but after visits to Baton Rouge and Coral Gables in the past week, the Canes and Tigers are out in front.
"This is my last stop," Ffrench said of Miami. "I'm going to see whose mind I'm on the most. Who's staying in touch? Who's letting me know more things I should know? All that plays a part.
"Those two are the leaders for sure. Those schools are family-oriented and I'm big on family."
