2-2 with the tough games ahead. 9-3 and 8-4 are in the rearview mirror. How long does Steve have?

Gary to the bat phone.

If we suck with Ewers and go 6-6 then seat is scorching. Not ready to pull plug yet. However, PK has to go.

Charlie and Tom both made terrible initial hires. PK was a good hire. He just isn’t getting the job done.

I'm taking a really awesome sh!t right now-- like....... legendary.... and I don't want to ruin my concentration. It's just the perfect consistency. Not too soft.... not to hard. Piling up nicely in the bowl. Smells like Thai food and cotton candy. Reminds me of our play calling and defense.

You are right about PK. Time for Patterson to suit up.

Remaining schedule looks like this to me

WV - win
OU - loss
ISU - win
OSU - loss
KSU - win
TCU - win
KU - win
BU - loss

Final record of 7-4 and a berth in the Alamo Bowl

Not having Ewers and Worthy in the 2nd half really hurt. Even with that, our backups should be good enough to beat Tech

LOL you think we will beat Kansas.
I do. I think when we get our QB back we can beat everyone on our schedule. Now I don’t think we will but I could see a 6-2 finish to year. We just have to get him back though.

Let me fix this for you. With Card:
Loss
loss
loss
loss
win
win
loss
loss

IDK with Ewers. The training wheels aren't off yet. Steve is in trouble.

Decommits incoming in 4-3-2-

Sad soft defense and pathetic play calling .

I think he’s more hurt than they’re letting on. Just my opinion.
I don’t see them letting him practice all week and throw pre game if it was that serious. I think they thought they could win this game without him to give him another week but it backfired.

I can’t get over the play calling. The wildcat with Card at the split end just didn’t work but, Sark kept running it. Put a damn full back or tight end in there. We don’t need 2 QBs in there. Good grief.

Hey fellas, Ewers just has a little boo boo. He’ll be fine just like Sam. Maybe one of us can make the Big 12 championship game but I ain’t betting on it.

Um, let's see.

Ken Niumatalolo has an all time record of 106-77 and has never had a talent advantage over anyone.

I am not sure what the exact record is between Katy and North Shore, probably about .500, but I know that the talent gap is a mile wide.

What about last year? We lost to Kansas at home and they surely have better talent this year.

Is Jahde Barron our most talented DB? Because he is hands down the best tackler on our defense.

Whats most concerning about yesterdays game is that the team looked exactly like the 2021 team: poor defense, questionable play calling, offense breaks down in the second half, conservative offense etc. It’s starting to feel like the bama game is the 2022 version of the 2021 OU game. Tough loss and the season falls apart after that.

I think Sark is a decent coach but very average. He is probably not the guy to win a conference champ or natty at Texas. Not sure he is even better than Herman. Sark recruits well but so did Herman.

If its not that bad then why didn’t Sark let Ewers play? Card was struggling in the second half and the offense stalled. Ewers would’ve been a boost to the offense and likely wins that game.

He’s played 5 quarters with the QB he recruited to fit his offense. Card and Casey are terrible fits for his offensive system. He’s limited with what he can do because of Card’s inability to process a defense and throw into tight windows.

Let’s see what he can do with Ewers for a couple of games before we throw the towel in.

Because he still wasn’t 100%. I’d rather him miss that 1 extra game and not have the chance of re injuring it. I think they thought they could win this game with Card and it backfired on them. I’d bet a lot of money that he’s the starter next weekend in the WV game.

What makes this loss so frustrating is that Tech isn't really a good team. They've had much better teams in years past, but this one is several notches below those teams. I get it that no one likes losing, but the season isn't over, the sky isn't falling, and Texas isn't going to fire Sark. When Ewers comes back, we should be in good shape and as good or better than most teams in the Big 12. Sark and Co need to keep pounding the recruiting trail and keep stocking the cupboard with top talent. I like the direction of this team much better than things were under Strong and Herman.

I think this Tech team is the best team they have had in at least 4 to 5 seasons. They seem to be more well coached as well. I don’t think they’re a bad team.
