Already been hearing politicians (esp. Republicans on Fox News of course) starting to talk about reversing the trend of globalization using this covid-19 as an example...i.e:
**More border control
**Getting corporations to move their factories back to the US for specific industries like pharmaceuticals & medical supplies, etc.
Question: Will this come to fruition? Are will markets determine this?
This is not to mention (rational or irrational) societal fears that may want to close off borders in order to limit pandemics. Or a "circle the wagons" or "you stay in your country & I'll stay in mine" type mentality that could flourish because of future covid-19 incidents.
Lastly...how does this all affect US/Chinese relations?
