I'd be very curious to see the playbook. It feels like we have about 6 plays on offense.
News to these announcers, we didn't replace Mack Brown to take at least 4 years to reproduce his 2013 record of 8-4. That's looking like a tall order for Strong.
The 3rd down call was questionable, given the way TCU has been rushing the QB & our limited playbook with Swoopes.
If our defense had looked like this against Cal.....we wouldn't even be hoping for a coaching change right now....sigh....
Gotta admit, rivalry weekend isn't the same anymore. There are 3 schools I consider rivals and hate losing to: Sooners, Aggies, & Piggies.
This Offense has regressed, zero imagination. Zero growth.
It's like the offense is fixed...oh dam, the defense & special teams are still bad. Oh, the defense is better...oh dam, the offense & special teams stink. Trying to plug holes on a sinking ship...
Well hope Herman works out. It's the wrong call but that's what they are gonna do so, so let's just hope it works.
You have NO idea if it is the wrong call.
Still can't believe a guy that lost to SMU, Navy, and Memphis in the same season is about to make more money per season than Saban...crazy.
Herman might be a mistake but he might be the next Meyer. We KNOW what Strong can and can't do. I have seen all I need to see.
hiring the hot name without really talking to anyone else is the wrong call. Weather it works or not. Let me put it to you this way. Before urban Meyer took over Florida he had sevreal seasons as a HC. Same with nick Saban when he took over LSU, and Mack brown when he took over Texas. Herman has 2 seasons as a HC and really all he's proven is he can get a team ready to play a big game. That's great and all but doesn't make you a good HC.
I would be ok with Herman if other folks turned us down. But to not even really give it much thought is bad.
