What if at the last week of the season there are two teams in the conference that are undefeated. Both of their last games before the conference title game is their heated rivals. Do either one of them pull their starters during that last game of the regular season at some point to rest them up for the conference title game so they can possible have them in good shape for the conference championship which if the win will get them a bye the first week of the playoffs.
Here is a scenario for the end of the season that has me intrigued.
