1. Network money is drying up. TPTB at The University don't want to get into a bidding war over Herman or anyone else. ESPN ad rev. is dropping badly and the golden egg is going away. Same for the NFL. Could ESPN file for bankruptcy with all the ridiculous TV deals out there?

2. The parents of the players like CS a lot not to mention the players like him.

3. CS projects an excellent image for UT.

4. College Football consolidation is about to accelerate. Most of our current competitors will be irrelevant when we move to the B1G.

5. Good CFB teams are more about talent than scheme. Our time is coming and CS will be a dominant force in recruiting with even marginal seasons. The reason should be obvious.

6. Be patient, we have actually set ourselves up to be very good in the next 2-6 years. Process, process, process. Stay the course.

I don't think their recruiting classes were like CS's but I may be wrong. Win today and the bowl game and we likely have a top 15-10 class. Don't get me wrong, I hate losing and I wanted Mack gone way b4 he was let go... It was obvious he was lazy and soft. Strong is not lazy or soft and neither are the players. Close to turning the corner. BTW this is not a race issue for me, I just see the team growing and will be better with some time.

I don't think there is a chance he stays. That's the problem with all the leaks and lack of leadership. Sometimes the story gets away from you and you can't bring it back. I think you gotta make a move now.

If herrman loses to Memphis and strong blows out TCU then who knows but as of right now I think you have to fire him.

Not soft? They were pushed around by Kansas. It was quoted by an opposition "as physically imposing as they are getting off the bus, they're soft when the game starts". As far as Strong goes, I'm out. I've seen enough 18 wheeler package, poor in game adjustments and giving the ball the Foreman 50 times.

I think the Texas ADM would prefer Strong to stay,Not out the 10 million plus the cost of hiring a new one,Yes,the money is a major factor.You gave the man a five year contract to complete the job and because he is black you fire him in three.Oh no,its about the record but I think some blacks would have a different opinion and you open yourself up.Texas is not in a good situation here.

Believe or not, I am that one single person in this entire world that believes he deserves another year (although watching the game and seeing the signs in the stands, I am not the only one). I was pi$$ed as anyone on here that we lost to Kansas, but I don't think the job he was hired to do has been completed.

If UT offer him more than 5 million a year, they be a damn fool. Pay Strong and his staff 18+ million and pay Herman 5+ million would make UT hit a 23+ million in handed out checks. What do you care how much UT pays for their coach? It's not your money, it's not tax payer money. Hell they probably have 40 million in the couch cushion of Perrin's office.

CS deserves to be fired. No one is debating that.... however ISU and Kansas > SMU and Memphis. Herman is not the guy. Conduct a real search and get some objective advice. Maybe hire a consulting firm. At this point, there is going to be some bad blood. It's best to stand back and make a good choice.

Yeah you might want to check that out. Memphis is 8-3 and BEAT Kansas 43-7! The SMU game had many Houston players out for injury. Although that was not a good loss. Herman is like 6-0 when he is the underdog. With a team with no depth. He has shown potential...something everybody looks for in players and coaches. I don't know if he will work out or not. I am sure willing to give him a try over Strong.
