He controls the narrative on both sides, speaks like an attorney and apologist for the witness and refuses to allow the Republicans to answer or rebut any of the pompous and wholly unsupported statements of opinion he is making on behalf of the witness. Now they are off a quid pro quo directly and on to a party line of Trump was mean to the ambassador, who by now is the ultimate authority of foreign policy, and that proves he is guilty of everything else. We can only hope and expect the Senate will clean this mess up appropriately.
