If you're an out of work NFL'er

It's called "victimized virtue signaling".

Here's how it works:

This latest generation coming into adulthood now was told they were special even if they weren't. Mommy and daddy didn't hug you after a failure, they completely plowed the roads clear for kids so there would BE no problems. Kids wear helmets to jerk off these days. Soccer mom's made sure that all kids got trophies just for showing up. If kids DID fail at something, it wasn't because they fvcking suck, it was because their generation X parents made them feel as though there was another excuse that they simply couldn't control.

Example:
Kid isn't getting to play on the football team.
It's because the kid simply fvcking sucks.
But mommy and daddy will convince themselves AND the kid that it's because the coaches have a grudge or don't like the kid.

" it's not his fault. His coach doesn't like him because of ___________ "(insert bullsh!t excuse).

To relate it to this guy, I have to explain the second part of this----- the "virtue signal".

By telling people he's gay, or bisexual (how ever you wish to categorize it) he's showing people that he's socially "woke" so he's gaining empathy from the socially trending consciously aware people in America. The folks calling themselves "woke"---- as if to imply they are more enlightened or intelligent than the rest of you pathetic Neanderthals. It's considered socially cool now to suck wood and smash taco no matter what sex or gender you are. (Currently the woke crowd says there's 17 genders or some such) and the way it works is there a spectrum. Whether you were born with twig and berries or a taco, no longer matters. What matters is where YOU believe you fall on that spectrum. Do you have a penis but wish you had a cooter and you have sex with men that used to have a penis but had it chopped off and now have a vagina? The you fall ................here... on the spectrum of gender.

Did you used to have a penis but now you have a cooter and you like having sex with bisexual men and men that used to have a cooter (born as a woman) but had your cooter filled in and had a penis attached to you? Then you fall ....here.. On the gender spectrum.

With all this said---- this guy isn't good enough to get a job in the NFL anymore and he wants to virtue signal that he likes penis and cooter (making him super woke to the woke crowd) and because he knows deep in his heart he isn't good enough to PLAY, he's now got a built in excuse that the super woke Twitter crowd can use FOR him as to why he can't get a job in the NFL. The social media zombies will all say in his defense that he can't get a job because of the toxic masculinity in the NFL locker room and the owners don't want him because he's gay and would be a distraction in the locker room.

The real reality is that yes, he'd be a distraction for all of about 5 minutes, then everyone would forget about it and move on and it would only be thought about when cooter/penis guy brought it up. And of course any time he felt as though he wasn't getting enough playing time or a good enough offer on his contract extension, it would be because (obviously) the owner hates "fags" and the organization is obviously homo/bi/trans/whatever phobic.

So in conclusion--- he's doing this because he's not mentally tough. He's not good enough to Play at that level consistently. He was spoiled and told he was great his whole life only to find out he's not AS great as HE thought. He doesn't know how to deal with that. So he's manufacturing an excuse for his own personal shortcomings and doing so in a manner that makes him appear to a victim of sexual discrimination instead of the fact that he just ain't good enough to Play.

And he gets an added bonus of you not being able to tell him that he sucks, because if you say that, you've now attacked him because he likes penis. So now YOU'RE the bad guy.

Hope that clears it up for you.

Has he tried to pray it all away?
See, now you're just being "Belldozer" instead of being an intelligent dude that's a business owner and a father of girls. In order to intelligently debate these issues, you've got to drop the persona and understand so you can properly combat it in your daily life.

Saying "pray it away gay boy" just further muddies the waters even worse. But being able to pick apart antics like this with knowledge is how you're going to come out ahead every time, while also being able to TEACH your girls the difference between people having a sexual crisis, and people who have serious mental issues.

Who said anything about gay and who is a business owner? I work for a freaking Oil Co. and have for 22 years, you've got the wrong dude. And just for the record, if anyone needs to know, in my house my girls will date boys while living in my house, when they're on their own it's between them and the Lord.

You said "can't he just pray it all away" which is a reference that "woke" people make as a joke about non woke Christian folks because certain Christian organizations have held prayer-athons to pray for gay people in hopes of them becoming straight.

So technically, you did. And if you didn't realize you were referencing that, then you've kinda sorta proven my point--- that you ain't woke enough to be considered a "cool kid" and thus, you'd be shunned by all the "cool kids" these days.

And even if your kids go to a private Christian school and don't HAVE to deal with this yet, when they get off to college, they will be body slammed by it. I've got 16 younger cousins from age 24 down to 14 and every one of them went to public schools and universities and every one of them has had to learn to navigate this social trend. Your kids will too. I'm just trying to get you out ahead of it so you'll have some sort of idea which way the wind is blowing man.

Trust me, I wish I didn't have to know this stuff but------ Austin.

I've got 2 kids in public, one in christian. I will go out on a limb and be willing to bet I'm of the very few on this board who are intimately familiar with two families that I know very well that have both allowed their teenage daughters, both 15, to elect to make gender changes at that age. I'm pretty well versed in things that are going on these days. I believe you have a moral obligation to keep your children best interest in mind as they are under your care until 18 at least. As the father of a teenage daughter, no way in hell do I let her make that decision. Their brains aren't even fully developed, I predict there will be a lot irreversible regrets down the road.

Cool. So then by you now admitting that you understand this better than you initially let on, that means your original post was more of a "I'm going to have a little fun with this and see what people say" sort of fishing expedition.

I get it now. Look, I wish we could all laugh at each other across the spectrum. At some point in everyone's life we have heard or told a "fag" joke. Hell, I watched Dave Chappell tell one on his new Netflix special the other day. It was hilarious. But in today's social media, if you make passive aggressive jokes about gender or race, super sensitive people get pissed off and try and dox you and then run to your company or boss and cry foul all over social media until you're fired and your life is ruined. I'm just trying to keep that from happening to you or anybody else in here.

If someone wants to complain to my employer about something Belldozer says in hopes of getting me in a bind, good luck, that's what I have to say about that. I don't do social media

Nope. Still have no idea why you would feel the need to bring your sexuality into the convo other than sympathyIf I go for a job interview, no way would I ever feel the need to assure anyone of my sexuality. So, no, I'm not admitting I understand why this guy did this other than sympathy seeking I guess, just as I stated in my initial post.

Bud, this is social media. It's a form of it. It may not be Twitter or Facebook or whatever, but this is a media platform and it was put here for people to socialize on. Hence "social media". And believe me when I tell you, though our community is relatively bubbled in here, and I like that to an extent, there are wackos out there that find axes to grind against people for whatever stupid reason pops in their head. It happens every day. Totally sucks.

But to your original post as to why he brought it up, I outlined the answer in detail.

Victimhood and virtue signaling combined to offer an excuse for failure that is out of one's control (seemingly).

This thread is homophobic. Basically, a hate thread.
Nice first post dippy.
No pun intended of course

Dude, shut up.
Why would I shut up? If you see an example of hate, be it homophobia, racism or any other type of intolerance, we owe it to each other as a society to speak up.

You find an image of two people holding hands to be "Gross". What an enlightened sentiment. That person was being threatened with being outted. Probably blackmailed.

@Ketchum nice convo your users have going on here.

Haha, yes, in your mind opinions are forbidden. @LonghornMM this is a re-tread that's been banned several times before, you probably know who I'm talking about. Dude has one purpose evidenced by another of his provocative handles.

Unless, they're his own.

I think morbidly obese people are gross as well.

Does that make me a fataphobe?

People can have opinions and as long as they aren't causing physical harm to anyone, last I checked, that's not illegal.

MM let the guy stay in here. I'd like to hear why he thinks it's ok to be the morality police. I'm still waiting for your example of the homophobic remarks you referred to.
