In other scores today:

Georgia's defense is just rag dolling Clemson. Clemson has -18 rushing yards.

Georgia is the real deal.

I agree on Georgia. They get a bad rap because they can’t get over the bama hump. But, they are near the top year in year out

I get that both UGA's and Clemson's defenses are good, but man, what a boring game. Yes it's the first week, but damn, just go ahead and give Alabama the NC trophy. They are in a league of their own.

UTSA now 30-20 in the 4th. Maybe Bielema accidentally ate one of his key players
Traylor is the real deal. I forgot the name of the OC that Strong brought in to try and run a pro style offense. Then they scarp it for an up tempo offense only he doesn't run it for the Notre Dame game so he gets fired from OC and Traylor and the WR coach take over and the offense improves dramatically. They were giving him shit for just being a high school coach but he was running running better stuff and getting better results than the other guy

I remember we went from Watson to ou’s Jay something and finally to Sterlin Gilbert By then, it was too little too late.

i looked up the coaching staff and and saw our ex O line coach Matt Mattox is there as is Roderick Wright at the DL coach.

I'm happy to see my hometown roadrunners beat Big X team.

Also TT came from behind to beat Houston.

WE HAVE A BIG TIME UPSET!

6 minutes to go

UCLA 38
LSU 20

From start to finish the bruins have outplayed the tigers.

Jeff Traylor is a helluva coach.

Watching LSU, Orgeron is an average coach. They caught lightning in a bottle when they won the NC (OC, DC and QB). They're all gone now. Tick tock on when coach Gumbo is fired. Is after this season, or next? He's a short timer there. I hear that Napier is who LSU will go after.

Dude, what’s with that constant bell banging I hear? Very annoying. I consider this an upset, but not a big time upset.
UCLA finally getting their legs underneath them after some scholarship sanctions. Chip Kelly survived the turmoil and now seeing his results.

UCLA is legit. Finally Chip Kelly is getting it going in LA.

Pac XII fb is in a deep hole this is their biggest non con win in at least 5 years. And it was nice to see a big crowd at the Rose Bowl. And this was a team that won the nc just 2 years ago. And besides its fun.

I love Georgia’s defense. The QB doesn’t wow me. I can’t see them beating Saban and company.

OR, WA, and CO, have big non con games next weekend but I don't know if they can win them. Go Pac XII.

Go Colorado next weekend against aggy in Boulder. Oregon struggled today, and it looks like they may be without Thibodeaux, their stud LB/DE. Washington had an embarrassing loss at home to Montana. Colorado struggled against Northern Colorado before pulling away late.

I think a&m is in trouble with King at QB. IMO he's not an FBS QB. Hopefully CU gives them a loss next week.

It appears that Thibodeaux will play next week his injury doesn't seem to be serious. I don't know maybe OR is keeping something from us.

aggy wasn't all that impressive against Kent freakin' State at home tonight. King was 21-33 for 292 and threw 3 picks. Calzada also threw a pick. Imagine what it will be like for their QB's when they start playing some real teams.

I've always liked SC. But now there is a real TX/TT/SC connection on that team.

I didn't see the game I looked it up. But there are 4 horns on the Trojan's and you might be interested in knowing how they played today.

Keaontay Ingram carried the ball 15x for 86 yards.

Malcolm Epps caught 1 pass 19 yards.

Xavion Alford played well when he was called upon. Made a tackle.

Apparently Jake Smith didn't play.

And as you know Todd Orlando and Craig Nayvar are on the staff and have been recruiting TX hard the last 2 years.

The TT connection comes from the oc and ol coach are from there.

Final score
SC 30
SJS 7

I wish those kids the best they are good players.

Jay Norvell has been Nevada’s HC for a few years now.

How about Iowa State riding the struggle bus against something called Northern Iowa?

I know it’s just week one, but Texas clearly looked like the best team in the Big 12 today. Hopefully we improve going into Arkiesaw. That’s gonna be a tough one.

Jake Smith is out for the year. Can’t remember if it is ankle or knee.

True, and he has brought some stability to the program. His son was in my boy's graduating class and at the commencement dinner, he was seated next to me. We had a good time talking football and he seemed like a very personable and down to earth guy. I hope he stays at Nevada for awhile but it's not likely if he keeps carving up the Pac XII like he handled Cal last night.

What a great first full weekend of college football . . . back to good times! Packed stadiums, college kids going nuts and enjoying the college experience. I saw kids going crazy at Camp Randall Stadium to "Jump"; the environment at Virginia Tech stadium was hyped as always; renewed energy in Austin . . . I didn't see a single mask worn by fans or coaches.

Then, I turn on Arizona v. BYU played in Las Vegas. The theater of masks was everywhere . . . fans wearing masks and coaches constantly pulling them down to yell instructions to players. Ridiculous mask wearing theater. I turned the game off after 5 minutes.

Now we wait 10-14 days to see if no masks puts colleges back to online only for classes.
