Cliffs Notes: The Longhorns picked up a commitment from Rivals250 offensive lineman Max Wright on Wednesday morning, .

Rankings: Here's the industry breakdown...

LSR: (5.8) Low 4 stars, No.32 in Texas
Rivals: (5.9) mid 4-stars No. 125 nationally, No. 18 in Texas
ESPN: (NR) NR nationally
On3: (89) High 3-stars, NR nationally, No.45 in Texas
247: (88) High 3-stars, NR nationally, No.63 in Texas

Notable offers: Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Stanford, SMU and TCU.

Evaluation: He's a big boy. THat's the first thing that jumps out when you're looking at the 6-8, 305+ pound Wright. That is not a young man that is getting cheated an inch in the game program. He's big. While not the swiftest of big fellas playing at tackle, he moves well and knows what to do once he gets on a block. Does a good job of getting to the second level when moving in space and completing blocks. While I wouldn't describe him as a dominating player at the point of attack, he is very physical and has a strong sense for what he wants to do with his hands and when engaging at the point of attack. It feels like he does every thing very well, but perhaps nothing to such a degree that you would label it dominating.

Why it matters: The offensive line position is one of the biggest needs for the Longhorns in the 2026 class, which makes Wright and early building block for the group. We all know that there are a couple of massive in-state offensive line targets who the staff will recruit until the very end. This slot makes for one of the pieces that Kyle Flood would like to build the class around.

Expectations: I'm not sure that I would look at Wright as an early plug and play guy. Expect for him to come in and take a few years of development, likely making his first piece of real impact in 2028.

Junior Film: Enjoy!
