Cliffs Notes: The Longhorns picked up a commitment from Rivals250 cornerback Graceson Littleton on Thursday, just four days after he took a Texas official visit and 13 days after Texas offered.

Rankings: Here's the industry breakdown...

Rivals: (5.8) 4-star, No. 164 nationally, No. 32 in Florida
ESPN: (83) 4-star, No. 164 nationally

On3: (92) 4-star, No. 97 nationally
247: (94) 4-star, No. 72 nationally

Notable offers: Penn State (OV 5/31), Clemson (OV 6/3), Alabama (OV 6/7), Oklahoma (6-14), Iowa (OV 6/21), Michigan (OV 11/2), Georgia, Miami, USC

Evaluation: Not necessarily a corner with a lot of length, but adequate size at 6-0 and 174 pounds. Littleton excels in man-to-man coverage, where he shows a quick ability to flip his hips and run with receivers down the sideline. Does a really good job of getting his head turned around to make a play and get his hands on the ball. Very natural when playing press coverage and can play tight at the line of scrimmage. Very good speed with a laser-timed 4.51 40-yard dash (4.42 hand timed). Littleton also excels as both a kick returner and punt returner.

Why it matters: Texas has been sitting at one cornerback commitment for most of this cycle and has been working to bring in one more, including trying to flip players who are committed elsewhere. In Littleton, the Longhorns went out and snagged one of the nation’s top corner prospects and did it in incredibly quick fashion, with the coaches only having recently offered the former Clemson commitment a scholarship.

Expectations:
Texas has some experience at corner but will be losing guys like Jahdae Barron, Gavin Holmes and possible Manny Muhammad over the next couple of years so the staff is looking to add some young talent to go along with Kobe Black. Littleton is talented enough that he should be able to work his way into the rotation in his first couple of years in Austin and has the potential to be a multi-year starter.
