I’m referring to ranking their portal class vs this years i coming classes.
Is it three or four 5-Stars and a slew of 4 stars now?
With over 30 departures, it must rank highly.
Who is willing to run the numbers?
Break - too long, don’t read below.
For those that love to crunch numbers, a net change in roster talent metric that includes the reality of the portal…
Returning roster value = X (calculated by star numerical value x starts, years remaining eligibility, all conference/all american/ect national awards)
Portal departures = Y (#players x years of eligibility remaining x average star value x starts x conf/national awards)
Portal Arrivals = Z (same as Y)
HS/recruiting class arrival = A (sum of star numerical values)
Annual Roster Talent Change = D = portal departures + portal arrivals + HS arrivals.
X +/- D = Current Roster Talent Potential
How positive or negative the D is how well the roster is managed.
