Unbelievable blow to the face to crush multiple facial bones. The tape may look like Rice was playing patty cake in comparison. Stoops has it coming to him for being the biggest enabling scumbag in college sports.

Nice analysis Cray Cray. I've noticed you've avoided the thread right below this one, titled UT Double Standards, like it had the Zika Virus. What gives?

I only remember fizz and maybe one other complaining about Joe Mixon, the rest were ok with it and some were even blaming the girl again or bringing up her lifestyle. And all of them were for DGB getting a "second" chance after he burned thu like 5 with Mizzou and no one else wanted to touch him. Revisionist history denied fizzy.

JSTO, again your information is not true. I specifically said DGB should never be allowed on campus. Don't make up shit like Scholz.

I wasn't for either staying but if they truly were rehabilitated I would have been interested to see what DGB could have done on the field.

What did I make up, habitual liar? Talk is cheap. Let's hear it, bigmouth.

I see you're ignoring your dishonesty concerning the fanboy DA covering up that Mixon tape too.

Scholz,

I'm going to good naturedly chide you for a moment. Ready?

I've noticed over the last 2 years that you can go from 0 to 60 in about 2 seconds.

If I were to hand you a nice cold ale or lager, do you wind down just as quickly as you wind up?

I don't know why I do this, but every post Scholz makes, when I read them in my mind, I can hear them being read by Walter Matheau from Grumpy Old Men.

Makes me laugh every time.
Maybe he should go to Scholz's more often.

The. Blow to the face didn't break her bones it would be the table she fall on. But you wouldn't know that would you? Lol..... and remember glass houses.

Does it matter? The root cause of all this is he threw a punch at a woman and knocked her clean out. But let's just focus on the table. Wow!

You can't be serious that you're defending Mixon?? So if she had broken bones in her face because of the table that she fell on, wouldn't that fall have been caused by Mixon?
We need some dislike button LMM! The posters with the most dislikes get's banned for a month.

Absolutely it would be Joe's fault, not saying it wasn't. I'm just saying the punch it's self didn't break her face.

I agree the damage was caused by Joe, but the actual blow didn't break her face had that table not been there it would have been a bloody lip at best. Would never ever agree hitting a female is acceptable on any level, but I'm an adult, he was a 17 year old kid. Made a bad bad choice, and paid for it and still is two years later.

No he didn't pay for it. A misdemeanor and a RS year isn't punishment. At all. And you scumbags are still defending him. You turn my stomach, mike.

The actual blow did break her face because without it none of this occurs. If she falls and hits the floor with her head and dies are you still going to say the blow didn't cause her death? We'll never know if it would've just been a bloody lip because that's not what occurred. I don't care if he was 17 or 35 if it was your daughter you wouldn't feel the same or may be you would. I'll bet when that video plays in public you'll see more outrage.

Despite court ruling, Norman refuses to release Mixon video

The city of Norman is refusing to release a video depicting OU running back Joe Mixon punching a woman, despite an appellate court ruling that the video is public record.

The Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals ruled Monday afternoon that District Judge Thad Balkman’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit brought against the city by the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters (OAB) over the release of the video was an error.

The court’s decision states “the surveillance video is part of the court file in possession of the court clerk and, as such, is accessible by the OAB — or any other member of the public — for inspection and copying.”

The court reversed Balkman’s decision to dismiss the lawsuit and remanded it back to his courtroom. Following the court’s decision, The Transcript requested a copy of the tape from the city, but that request was refused.

Assistant City Attorney Rick Knighton said the appellate court’s decision does not mean the city has to make the video public. Balkman’s initial decision was based on one section of state law requiring that certain records be made available to the public. Knighton said Balkman will now have to determine whether the court records are public based on a subsection of that law.

“What it ultimately held, though, was there’s a possibility that (the video) could be made available for public inspection under subsection B, but since the District Court did not make a finding or a ruling or a finding under 24A.8(B), the Court of Civil Appeals remanded the case back to the District Court to make a finding under 24A.8(B),” Knighton said. Knighton said the video is private property and, after criminal prosecution, should be returned to Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe, where the incident occurred.

He rejected implications that the city was trying to protect Mixon.

“Quite frankly, if the police department or the city of Norman wanted to sweep this under the rug, why did any of this information ever come to light?” he said. “This man was charged with an offense. He entered a plea, he was sentenced. My understanding is that he successfully served the terms of his sentence, so that is the ultimate objective of a criminal investigation.”

The video has been the subject of debate for the better part of two years, although several dozen media members watched the tape in fall 2014. The video depicts Mixon’s actions in the early morning hours of July 25, 2014. Mixon, who had recently turned 18, and a then 20-year-old female OU student, Amelia Molitor, got into a physical confrontation at Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe on Campus Corner.

The surveillance video of the incident clearly showed Mixon punching Molitor in the face, leaving her with multiple facial fractures. Three weeks later, Mixon was charged with acts resulting in gross injury/outraging public decency — a misdemeanor. OU also announced that the then-freshman running back had been removed from the team for the 2014 season.

OU President David Boren, athletic director Joe Castiglione and head coach Bob Stoops viewed the video tape in Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn’s office shortly before Mixon was officially charged.

Norman police had a public viewing of the surveillance video on Sept. 4, 2014, for about 40 media members. At that time, Norman officials said the video would become public once the case was adjudicated.

The running back accepted an Alford plea to the charge Oct. 30, 2014. Mixon received a one-year deferred sentence, 100 hours of community service and will have to undergo cognitive behavior counseling during the probation.

Mixon returned to the field in for the 2015 season, rushing for 753 yards and scoring 11 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman. The surveillance video hung over Mixon throughout the season

He should never have laid his hands on her, other than to restrain her from hitting him. Or just walk away once it started (although in all honesty there are few of us on this board that could just walk away from someone hitting you, male or female). Said so from the git go.

Hmmm. That's a very concerning statement about 'few of us' being able to walk away in that situation.

Does anyone know how this young lady is doing these days? I'm hoping she is able to lead a normal life without disability?

Of course he did. That's what people covering things up do, Einstein. He also tries to make it sound like the slap on the wrist he got was a just punishment. Ridiculous.

So why are they fighting tooth and nail to not release the video, honest abe? The case has been adjudicated and a higher court said to release it. Hmmm?

She's probably still being called a drugged out whore by your Christian fanbase.
