So I assume most of you have already heard about the crappy letter that one aggy fan mailed to Kevin Sumlin and the racist remarks made therein.

Call me crazy but, it looks likes a woman's hand writing.

#2-- this virtually guarantees that aggy can't fire Sumlin this year no matter what his record is....lest they be labeled racists.

Stupid people + sad situation = tight spot.

It doesn't matter how much you dislike a coach, or how badly the lose may seem, this is never appropriate. I sincerely hope A&M attempts to track down the individual(s) responsible for this and makes an example out of them. BUT I agree, Sumlin is there for next season as well unless it is just a complete disaster this year something like 4-8, 3-7 type disaster.

The return address on the letter is for the Houston Country Club. This is completely unacceptable.

If the wheels fall off they'll fire him. If he wins 7 games losing to all the usual suspects they fire him and take whatever PR hit. Firing him doesn't label them any more racists than the letter does

No matter when it happens they'll have to weather the racist claims. We got plenty of it even after Strong completed the hat trick of losing seasons.

My only question is.....which one of you did this? Or should I be looking at other horn sites? :)

My prediction is that when the culprit is found it will not be an Aggie, but someone trying to stir the already boiling pot. Kinda like when all of the folks vandalizing Hillary stuff are caught, and are found to be Hillary supporters.

I was thinking the same thing. It will get ugly this year and next year unless they beat lsu/bama and are on a decent winning roll. That stupid fan just F'ed things up 10 fold for the a&m decision makers.

I'm sitting here wondering why someone would mail it from Houston country club.....I mean, let's think this through for a second:

Some rich, white racist is not going to put the return address of a rich white country club on a piece of hate mail. That's just dumb. It really looks like a woman's hand writing. Then they call him the "N" word and then say "Please......get lost!".

So we have a very polite racist---- asking him to "Please" get lost? I has confuse.....

How are you going to be so angry that you write a letter......put a rich, white country club addy on there, call the guy a "N" and then say "please"?

I don't know about y'all, but somethin don't smell right to clob.

I think if anything this makes it more likely Chad Morris gets the job. He's an alum with a decent track recored, good reputation. Most A&M people will likely get behind him regardless what they think about the Sumlin situation.

This kind of thing is really unacceptable though.we should be better than this as a society

My deductive reasoning skills want to know why there's no post mark on it..........I has suspect....

LOL... I have actually heard quite a few ppl say they think his WIFE may have set that up.... womans handwriting.... return address is a country club for rich white ppl in Houston.... no post mark on the envelope... SHE posted it online and he hasnt really said much about it....

smells REALLY fishy... and it all comes after everyone says his job is basically toast without a mircale this year after the loss to ucla... interesting stuff.... but it sounds like you may be thinking the same with the hillary ppl trashing hillary stuff... either way this is a stupid situation... but we know what they say about most aggys and stupidity... lol ;)

He get's paid whether they fire him or not, so it's kind of pointless if this was an inside job.

It's definitely shady looking and questionable. Think "shark from Jaws 3D".

Now if authorities find out it is some old hag at the houston country club, shame on you, you old goat!

I agree, nobody would make it that obvious by writing country club on it and like you said, not post marked. Someone playing games and could be someone in his corner.

I think the only person who benefits from this going public is Kevin Sumlin (for sympathetic reasons). I'm not saying, I'm just saying....

If it were truly a "fan" it would have happened before now. Although Sunday was pretty horrible.

I have no doubt thst Sumlin made the letter public. The idea though that his team wrote the letter or anything like that is a little to conspiracy theory for me. Anyone could of put it in his mail box. College station not that big I'm sure a lot of folks know where he lives or can figure it out. Then you just drop it in his mailbox.

These coaches don't care if they get fired. Sure they don't want to get fired but they all know for most of them eventually it will happen. They still get their money and most get a 2nd job. I can't see Sumlin orcostrsting some sort of sympathy deal in an effort to save his job.

I have always been told that those marks below Sumlin's address contain routing information used by the postal services mail sorting machines.

If they just put it in his mailbox, then what's the point of writing a return address?

I wonder if Mike Sherman ever got any hate mail calling him the H-word?

Probably not, but that's not a good way to look at it. You need to draw the line well before you get to racial slurs. If you allow all the other hateful stuff that's said, you're only a stone's throw from getting to racial slurs. Thinking you can let all the other stuff go, and not venture into racial territory, is just playing with fire.
