Call them afraid or whatever you want but programs don't stack elite QBs on top of each other like other positions anymore. At some point not too long ago it seems that QBs came to the conclusion that playing at a lesser program is better than not playing. Given how you aren't going to have much shot in the NFL if you aren't on the field I can't say I disagree. I'd love to bring in a bunch of QBs for competition but even if you can pull that off, as soon as the starter is named they all go elsewhere. No program is immune to that.

Attrition is always high when a new regime is brought in. I wouldn't worry about the numbers.
I don't disagree. However, by that point you got the guy you wanted. If we don't bring somebody in we are looking at Buechele and Elhinger as our 2 deep. Elhinger won't be able to RS. Therefore, he is going to have to hold a clipboard for 3 years to play 1.
As far as Allen not fitting Herman's system, I doubt Herman would have worked as hard as he did to get him, if that was an issue.
Rumor is Kendall Briles was in Auburn this week interviewing for OC position. My Christmas present to this Board - take WVU and give the points against BU this weekend (+17). The offensive coordinator working with a freshman QB, and not focused on the game? Geez.
I'm all over WVU -17 against Baylor this weekend. BU has thrown in the towel.
