Kyler Murray Contract

You just blew the wind out of alot of sails.

Look okie this list is mostly from players in the 21st century.

Johnathan Gray?
Odell James?
Drew Brees?

Kyler Murray is a generational pick.

There have been great players, legends for almost ninety years.

My God you say you're a sooner but you don't even have Billy Sims on the list? The three players I listed have no business being on this list.

I don't know who wrote this but if he presented this list I would have laughed in his place.

Reading comprehension doesn't appear to be your strength. Why would Billy Sims be on the list ahead of others listed? It's what they accomplished in hs not what they did thru college and the pros.

It isn't all about stats Belldozer. I will correct myself in regards to Jonathan Gray he should be on this list.

Billy Sims, Earl Campbell, and Eric Dickerson were the #1 players in the country their senior year. Their college careers were great.

But counting playoffs their seasons were only 15 games. Also only first place teams made the playoffs. So who gained more more yards isn't the most important thing to me.

Without question the greatest player in TX high school history is Ken Hall.

And why are there no defensive players on this list? Not 1.

One last thing. I was looking at the single season records. Johnathan Brooks is not on this list. He should be ranked 8th. They need to update.

Why you leave out Nobis?

It was voted on by fans, so let's not get anything twisted.

You don't see anybody on here saying that Peter Gardere is the greatest QB in the history of the Red River whatever they're calling it this week.

Johnathan Gray absolutely deserves to be in the conversation. 3 state championships, 10,900 yards and 205 tds. 8.9 yards a rush as well.

Johnathan Gray was an absolute monster HS RB. I thought that he was a can't miss college and NFL back. Sadly, he had some serious injuries and just never panned out beyond HS.
He just had a ton of usage in high school and I think that ultimately his body was already breaking down once he got to Texas. My brother played against him growing up and I just remember how dominant he was at such a young age. He’s one of the greatest HS football players I have seen of the last 40 years.

I believe I corrected myself and said Jonathan Gray deserves to be on this list. If not I should have said so.

Like I posted earlier, this poll was a popularity contest. The nominations and voting was done by fans.

If you guys want to believe that a guy that didn't play varsity football as a freshman and rode the bench as a sophomore is the greatest high school football player in Texas history, I'm going get you a seat on the short bus.
