Hindsight, Miles could have readjusted his CEO ballcap and instructed Dearmon to slow down the tempo on our last offensive drive, especially when the game clock hit 2:00. Let the play clock get down to 3-5 seconds for the snap; our defense was not getting pressure nor containing Ehlinger, and his legs was a HUGE difference.
With this being their first game together, Miles and Dearmon still need to get a better idea of how to work with each other, in reference to offensive tempo, the flow of the game, and other aspects. Shoot, this is probably the 1st time in his HC career that Miles is giving 90+% of the decisionmaking process for the offense to his OC, so this is a huge adjustment for him. Ideally, both of them will go over that, this week, for the rest of the season, when needed.
