Not so fast, my friend​

As I mentioned in Tidbits on Friday, A&M wasn’t really concerned about a lot of guys who went into the portal. There were two in particular that they were upset about losing, and they’re trying to get them back. Over the weekend, I heard something interesting from someone who would know: a couple of players, and not necessarily the ones I’ve been alluding to, have received letters from lawyers advising them to, for lack of a better term, read the fine print of their NIL contracts. It wasn’t a threatening letter or a legal demand or anything like that, it was just informing them that their NIL rights are locked down for another year (if not more) even if they leave A&M. They can still depart, but they’re not going to get paid.
