Rex Tillerson, Texas Ex and CEO ExxonMobil is reported to be the next Secretary of State.
According to Wikipedia, "He received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1975. During his time at UT Austin, he was involved with the Tejas Club, Longhorn Band, and Alpha Phi Omega. In 2006 he was named a Distinguished Engineering Graduate." Tillerson is an Eagle Scout and past President of the Boy Scouts of America.
I know people that know Tillerson and I'm told he's brilliant, caring, a great friend and a leader.
Added later: This could be, depending on future events, a great appointment for the University of Texas. I want to celebrate that, not argue about Putin, Russia, ExxonMobil, global warming, etc. Dig below partisan sound bites and get to know Rex Tillerson. Compare his global experience and skills to previous secretaries. Tillerson's are vast and very different.
