LSU or blowu

The only way we will know for sure whether we can beat OU or LSU is for us to be completely healthy, our running game must improve and our OL cannot play like crap like they did against OU. If we would have played as crappy against LSU as we did against OU, we would have lost by at least 21 points. OU is not better than LSU. On a neutral field, I think LSU beats OU by 10 to 17 points.

This, and we've got to recruit better at RB. Bijan Robinson should be a great RB at Texas, but we need about three more guys like him.

Speaking of OU and Riley in particular, I've been watching these videos that are done by Teddy Lehman each week where he sets up a scenario from a game in the past couple of years and gets Riley to guess/recall the exact play that he called in that scenario. Riley is 8 for 8 this year. They say he has a photographic memory and I believe it. Check it outhttps://www.crimsonandcreammachine....-call-teddy-lehman-memory-butkus-brain-teaser.

Sean McVay of the Rams has this unique ability as well. Incredibly impressive.

If I’m being honest...currently it’s LSU.

My #1 concern for OU is our OLine. Mainly because we’ve had so many different starting five. They need time to gel. Those LSU DTs are so massive, I’m not sure how we hold up to them.

Most of Hurts’ ability to hurt you running is predicated on the fact you have to send all the front seven to get to Hurts, which leaves lanes open. But if LSU could get to Hurts with primarily just the DL, that leaves a lot less open space. Call it a spy, call it a trailing LB...just have someone out there to minimize that damage.

No team in the Big 12 has that ability/size on their roster.

BUT...if OU’s OLine can do well against that bigger DLine, I’d give the edge to OU.

I think OU's oline is better than people think. They're just inexperienced but so far have given up 5 sacks all season- only 3 teams in the country have given up less. It would be fun to see.

Ahem...Heisenberg. K-State is being extremely physical, and giving our OLine fits right now.

Imagine a line the size of LSU, or Clemson.

We have time to get better. Nothing to be overly worried about. But right now, that’s my biggest concern.

Teams like Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Penn State have no in state competition.

Auburn is pretty good competition in ala. Shithole state as it is and they have to share talent. That's why each school is as corrupt and shady as they are ....

I am a Got Damn genius!

Man, that was an ass kicking. Now I know hat it feels like to be a longhorn fan after 2000, 2003, 2011, and 2012. =)roll

I would say two things about that game:

1) Just goes to show you the deep division of talent between OU and LSU. Night and day.

2) I think before the suspensions/injury, LSU was probably about a 14 point favorite. They are just the better team. The suspensions/injury to Yell is the difference between LSU just beating OU, and LSU prison raping OU like they did. Perkins' loss was huge for OU. Not because he's some un-blockable stud, but because our secondary is predicated on the DLine getting pressure on the QB. Without pressure, their WRs were bound to be open. Them picking on Broiles (Yell/s replacement) hurt, but IF we could have generated more pass rush, the game isn't as big of a blowout.

Hey now, we scored 28 against LSU and to be fair you forgot the epic beat down we received from USC (55-19). Crazy thing is, we are 5-6 in our last 11 Bowl/Playoff games, average margin of win is 15.8 points per game / average margin of loss is 22.3 points per game. In our wins, we give up 22 ppg and in our losses we give up 46.5 ppg. We are definitely feast or famine...….

Micco is the Yell/s kid you're referring to is that Bradley whatever his last name is. That was a terrible cheap shot. Our db Jalen Green did that against KSU. But this was the playoffs and at the time it was just 14/7. He tried to do that Iin last year's RRS he's a punk micco.

Until McDonough and Blackledge mentioned it before the game it didn't dawn on me the talent differential between the teams. Then I thought about it. You know this is not the LSU d that TX saw, or that AL saw either. But when they held on to beat AL the LSU defense galvanized. OK saw a completely defense than what we saw. Look at their last 3 games Micco it wasn't just OK it was GA and the cow college as well. They've outscored their opponents 150/45.

But I think Clemson is going to beat them.

Just a fun jab. Trying to deflect the pain through humor.

It was as bad as they wanted it to be.

And outthere, yes, I was referring to Yells. Bookie has been a disappointment his whole career. He's just a sophomore, so hopefully the light comes on for him sometime.

But that was absolutely a cheap shot, and it was the worst kind. Rather on focusing on getting in a cheap shot, if he'd taken the QB, he'd have stopped him on third down and made them punt. It only lessens the margin of victory by a TD, but that hit was a microcosm of how we played the entire night on both sides of the ball.
