that was taken behind the woodshed by any team during the regular season?

2014
Alabama 1 loss - 6 points
Oregon 1 loss - 7 points
Ohio State 1 loss - 14 points

2015
Alabama 1 loss - 6 points
Michigan State 1 loss - 1 point
Oklahoma 1 loss - 7 points

2016
Clemson 1 loss - 1 point
Washington 1 loss - 13 points
Ohio State 1 loss - 3 points

2017
Clemson 1 loss - 3 points
Oklahoma 1 loss - 7 points
Georgia 1 loss - 23 points
Alabama 1 loss - 12 points

2018
Oklahoma 1 loss - 3 points

2019
Oklahoma 1 loss - 7 points

Regular season loss deficit of the 24 teams that have made the CFP in it’s history:

-113 points total with a -8 point average loss.

-ONE team in history made the playoffs with a loss by more than two touchdowns(in a year with zero undefeated teams. Same team also won their conference championship).

-FOUR teams in history made the playoffs with a loss by more than one touchdown(half of those were in a year with zero undefeated teams. All but one won their conference championship).

Well right now unless Florida barely beats Bama then the milk men are probably in. Can't see ND getting in at this point but stranger things have happened. I think.

If aggy jumps ND(which I don’t think will happen) who was undefeated after 10 games, won their division, and only lost in the championship game, they will objectively be the worst of 20 teams to ever make it. Doesn’t bode well for their first round since Florida can’t be there.

If the Ags get embarrassed then it will prove they didn't belong, if they win then they deserved to be there. Easy as that. How many times has the gooners gone to the playoffs and didn't belong? Every time they went.

We are Texas, we don't complain about the Ags success, we need to concentrate on Texas getting back on top. I don't care what is happening in College Station. Fix what is happening on the 40. The Ags are where they are because they have great coaches, period.

Talent wise, they aren't a more talented team than Texas, but they do have better coaching and development and that makes the difference.

aggy got blown out by 28 by Alabama. If they had kept it close, then yes they should be in the CFP, but they didn't. ND deserves to be in over aggy. They did beat Clemson, which is way better than any win than a&m has.

IMO, it should be Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, ND.

No way OSU deserves to be in. Six games, had to changes conference championship game rules, and their schedule is questionable (being nice). I don't know who the 4th is, but the committee will take a huge hit if they put OSU.

in what universe is aTm a good team? ...I get that one loss crap....but they have played 3 teams with a winning record. One of those teams beat em by 4 TD's....one of those teams was 5-4 and the other is a 3 loss team. That makes aggy good?

Like it or not, and I can't stand OSU, but they're getting in. aggy is going to get left out, as they should be.

What do you think; should they get in? It is not about the Aggies, I just don't see how with a straight face the committee can pick a diluted 6 win team with an average schedule over other teams who have played 9-10 games against tougher schedules. I think as soon as OSU played their 1st game they went from unranked to 3rd overall and somehow managed to stay put with less games and lesser opponents.

That just goes to show when you have good coaching it makes a difference. A&M is not more talented than we are but yet look at where they are at. If this doesn’t put a bad taste in CDC’s mouth after watching OU win another conference championship and then have A&M on the verge of the playoffs then I don’t know what will. It makes me sick to see our 2 biggest rivals having success and we are just okay with accepting mediocrity.

OSU has beaten 2 top 15 teams in this 6 games though. More than Aggie can say.

When your journalistic mouth pieces have to resort to writing ridiculously sensationalistic recaps of a 21 point win over a 3-6 team to end the season on the same day conference champions are being crowned, what more can be said?

The biggest SEC shill out there agrees. If Finebaum is saying ND, it’s over.

I guess we will see. I do not even think OSU should be eligible, and further, based on their body of work are not worthy of a top 4 spot; with my main focus on 6 games (only) played and their Big 10 counterparts having the same horribly limited schedule. Based on what I have seen, Clemson will handle OSU easily.

A disturbing occurrence that the NCAA/playoff committee needs to address before it becomes a trend.

the big 10 changes their rules so that OSU can play in the big 10 title game. Now the big 10 is altering its Covid protocols so some of OSU’s players can play in the playoff game. If no one addresses this you are going to see conferences Bend the rules to make sure their team gets in the playoffs. Why wouldn’t they?

When/if aggy can ever get to the $EC championship game then they can talk. Until then, they need to stay on the porch and let the big dogs fight it out.

When is the last time a team was taken to the woodshed in a conference championship game by 24 points in a rematch only to create the possibility of a 3rd game in the same season? Just asking. Come on guys; you would all be apoplectic if you were in our shoes. I can see both sides. I was hoping rather than thinking we were entitled to anything, but OSU's path is a bit disconcerting on principle. Fire away.

I guess I’m in the minority because I think regardless of OSU only playing 6 games they are still a top 4 team in the country. They have only lost 4 conference games since 2012. Did we seriously need to see them beat 2 more weak Big 10 teams to prove this? I have Buckeyes on one side of the family so believe me I wanted to see them out as much as Aggie. But to think they wouldn’t have won 2 more games if they were played is crazy IMO.

a&m needs to quit crying. If they hadn't gotten run off of the field against Alabama by 28, then maybe they would have a case. Try getting to your conference championship game first. aggy was left out, as they should have been. Good luck against UNC, lol.
