looking to buy an AR. Not looking for a top of the line model but all not a bargain model either. Budget is $1,500 to $2,000 assuming that will get it done. I’ve looked at Daniel Defense and also Modern Carbine in Dallas. Thought I would tap into the collective knowledge of the board for recs.
I’m a blank canvas right now. Not sure what caliber I want or what accessories I want to start with. I do know that I want a scope. Leaning towards the 5.56 round but also maybe the 308, but open to just about anything. I want cheapish accessible ammo. This will be used for target shooting (casual), hunting pigs and maybe predators.
I know there are a few very knowledgeable folks on here that could guide me.
If we could keep this thread from devolving into a gun control/political pissing match long enough for me to collect some information that would be great.
