LHN? I’m at a bar and normally show it, but not seeing it.
I see it’s scoreless through 2.

Tommy Tanks, haha. He's legit. Actually surprised he is playing in college
Yes Tommy Tanks! Man that dude can drop d!*k! Idk how the draft missed this kid with him being the number 18 player coming out of high school and the number 1 3rd baseman which he is playing first at NC State.

Against Evansville..... bonus points for anybody who knows what state that school is located in--

And Quinnipiac..... aren't they famous for conducting biased polls about presidential elections?

Hardly the 1993 Atlanta Braves bullpen.... let's see how Tommy does when some dudes that ring 95 on the radar show up.

Obviously he'll not drop 8 bombs in 7 games for the whole year. But lots of hitters play said teams and DON'T drop 8 bombs in 7 games so...

The kid is a highly rated hitter without a position at the next level. Which is why he is playing 1B now. Why a club didn't take him high enough. Knew he wouldn't sign and you don't use one of your top 3-4 picks on a RHH without a position.

He has faced plenty of dudes that can run it up on the gun...he'll be fine.

Looks like the bats woke up today and heading to top of the 9th leading 6-1.
15 hits?
This team era is outstanding for the season so far.

What happened to Kennedy? I missed that.
Not totally sure but in Friday's game he collided with the wall was walking gingerly the rest of the game. He was out Saturday and Sunday's games. Peirce said he had some pain in his lower back. Have no idea if it's anything that will keep him out any longer.

Texas's lack of hitting is a cause of concern.
If it was 85 degrees I'd be little concerned. Cold weather is not a hitters friend. Example: Saturday, Ivan Melendez hit a ball that had a 112 mph exit velocity that turned into a routine fly out. (The avg MLB HR has a exit velocity in the 90's)

PS: Please don't KCHORN our baseball thread. :)

If others didn't notice last season we had our moments with hitting and we made it to the World Series and was a game away from the ship. This lineup will not stay like this all year. Pitching will carry us through some games like we have seen already against Bama.

We play Tennessee tonight. Watch for the Tennessee reliever Ben Joyce. His fastball has been clocked consistently at 101-103 mph which is ridiculous. That's freakishly fast. Don't know about his control though. If one of our guys can connect on one of those cleanly, the ball may sail all the way across I-35 to Royal Memorial stadium.
