Elon is a good program. Certainly better than Dartmouth. That said, looking at baseball schedules through football goggles is futile.
We’ve won the first two games this weekend against Dartmouth, but uncomfortably close. Starting pitching has been good, but hitting has been cold this weekend, literally.

The boys beat Washington 10-9 in Vegas tournament last night. Up 9-1 at one point, but bullpen problems again.
Our bullpen is fvcking atrocious.
Schloss will figure it out. Our offense is clicking and I only see it continue to get stronger from here.
Aggy losing to Rice 0-3…check that, 2-3 in the 3rd. Could end up 5-5. Not a good start for #1 ranked team. 😂

SEC baseball will have a way of shaking up the rankings on a consistent basis. 12 of the top 25 are SEC so they will just beat the hell out of each other.
I'm interested in your take on your team this year. They're super talented but seem weak mentally. I haven't looked at the roster close enough to know for sure but usually that's a sign of a young team. If they can get out of their own heads and just play ball, they should be ok.
Coaching and leadership matters. Doesn’t matter how much talent you have. ATM spent years in midlothian with a few showings in the CWS with Childress before Schloss comes along and takes them to the cusp of the promised land in, what, yr 2 or 3? It’s all gone now. Childress part II ensueth.
They are loaded with talent. But here's the deal- when your talent puts it's collective foot down and demands a certain coach get the job- the talent then holds a certain sway over that coach.
I think we could be seeing a little backlash from that.
Well, currently I think this team sucks. Honestly, I feel Earley was not the best hire. They could figure it all out but too many errors, and there is a big lack of discipline at the plate and just no fire in their bellies. Several injuries haven’t helped but it’s the style of play that bothers me. If I’m being honest I feel the admin hired a guy the players loved maybe because he was easy to play for?? Schloss is an ass but he demanded discipline. I heard from one of my Longhorn buddies that goes to a lot of Texas games and he said just the warm ups for Texas are far better and sharper. Schloss demands it from the start. Again it’s early but they look awful right now.
