*** OFFICIAL TEXAS vs Arizona st Playoff thread of Survive and Advance Again ***

I genuinely do not give a fvck how we won or how badly we played. We won. A post season run requires some luck. We play up to our opponents so we’re not gonna shit the bed against Oregon/OSU. Quinn was nails in OT and delivered when everything was on the line. 4th and 13 will be lore. In my 50 years of fandom, I don’t think Texas has ever won a game with that type of energy/vibes. I’m so drained and elated at once. Appreciate the absolute cinema we just watched. We can all wait till tomorrow to start complaining about how bad the play calling was, etc.

An ugly win is still better than any loss. While I would’ve enjoyed watching our Horns absolutely mudstomp ASU; games like this are absolutely heartbreaking for the losers…. and I did take a little solace in watching Skattebo cry like a bitch on the field, knowing that he gave it all and they still came up short. I normally don’t this kind of pleasure, but there’s something about a shit-talker getting their feeling hurt that swings the balance toward my inner-asshole coming out.

Can understand the defense being exhausted. Maybe since they did virtually nothing the entire game, the offense was fresh for OT. Great game plan there if that's the case. /s

Oh my, lord… the aggsy have escaped texags are leading the charge all over social media about how the refs cheated for Texas, because they didn’t call Taffe for targeting. 🙄

I guess the no call targeting on them, the lack of holding calls, and the bad spots have been forgotten about.

Make sure to wear your gear and smirk at the scowls.
I’ve just started saying, “pooooooor aggsy went 8-5 after losing to Texas and their bowl game, while Texas is 13-2, after playing for the SEC championship and has advanced to the CFP semi-finals.”

It’s a mouthful… but, it does have a ring to it.

Watched the game at Pluckers and couldn't hear. Why was the Taffe targeting review not considered targeting. I thought for sure they would review, call targeting, and we'd be cooked.

Ewers was actually incredibly clutch. got us to scoring position four times in a row under insane pressure. 11/14 for 161 and 2 TDs in the final 5 and overtime
Agreed. You can’t tear him down for his mistakes without giving him props for his balls in OT. You can argue that maybe we shouldn’t have been there but I still appreciate him coming up in the clutch in the end. That was an impressive throw in OT and then the dart to Helm and 2 pt conversion to Golden were perfect.

This made me laugh.
When Lou Holtz was at ND, I was watching a reporter interview him and asked him what he wanted as a legacy there. He smirked and said "I want everybody to say, that is the worst coach to ever win 3 national championships"

Haven’t you heard? Obviously because there is a conspiracy by the ESPN and the NCAA that reaches every referee crew across the nation to rig the games in our favor.

With the running style Skatter bo has (lowering head, leading with the crown of helmet), can't he be called for targeting, too? Or the defensive player not be charged? I mean he runs low, leading w that big head. Heard he was playing with a concussion...hadn't heard it officially.
