One of my earlier posts he had some weird tick with shaking his head going on. Wasn’t sure if that was a normal thing for him or was he hyped up on some go juice or concussion? He was definitely tweaking on something.
Targeting was reviewed from the booth. It was a form tackle. Yes there was contact to the head but it was a form tackle with the head up, not the crown and he didn't crouch to gain leverage or launch. NCAA needs to go to the NFL rule. Its much easier to officiate.
That last TD he lowered the top of his head and launched directly into the DT....letter of the rule book that is not legal. It is NEVER called tho.
He's done that in other games. Some said he got a concussion this game. Guess...not serious and the doc let him play...kinda scary for him.
What game were you watching? Texas offense was out scored in the second half by 14 points. Texas offense only scored one touchdown in the second half.

Leading with 4 mins left in the game and we decide to throw it deep on what was it, 2nd & 4ish? I feel that play call was actually more detrimental than the 2 fg whiffs.
10 days for sark to reach deep into his bag-o-magic and fix the missfire in our offenses engine. This team is too good to not be hanging 40 in regulation.

Uh, the game where Quinn led the offense into FG territory with some big time throws, a huge 4th down TD and a terrific stup up in pocket and accurately pass for the game winner? Oh and a perfectly placed ball for the 2 point. That game.

They ran 97 plays while we only had 60 plays. 37:54 TOP compared to 22:06 for us.
I counted 17 consecutive penalties go in ASU’s favor but the second they get ONE unfavorable call it’s rigged apparently.
QE and Sark were the reasons we were in trouble to begin with throwing down field with 5 min remaining on 2nd & 4. QE was def clutch in the end but we shouldn’t have been in that situation to begin with. I’m grateful we won that game and would have lost those not too long ago. But damn, come on. We also threw two incomplete passes at the two minute mark, poor clock management. I just can’t with the FG bs.
Officiating was bad. People hate Texas so it helps them feel better that Texas won by saying it was rigged or Texas cheated.

Yes- 3 or 4 calls--- but get the film out today and look at all the "no calls" that AZ st was the benefactor of.

Skattaboo was clearly concussed by mid game. Why didn’t anyone catch that? ASU training and medical staff couldn’t see the obvious? Same with the coaches and announcers. all the pearl clutching and virtue signaling we give to head injuries is hilarious. Cam S was clearly concussed. He was fvcking puking concussed and stumbling around but Nobody cared. Carry on because winning a football game is way more important than the possibility that this young man may get Parkinson’s disease by his mid 30’s.

I guess the missed illegal man downfield on the fake punt, the missed targeting on Bond, the wrong call on running into the kicker, the pulling of the RB into the EZ, the man downfield on the 2 pt conversion, et al were strategically placed to allow Arizona State points so that later they could "miss" the 50/50 targeting call just to allow Az St to not even get in FG range for a kicker that has been benched twice this year?

Bracket Smith and play a ton of cover 6. Also our DTs have to push the pocket to move Howard off his spots. I think we have the dudes to replicate that but i'm not ready to say we can execute it.
It was a lot of fun to watch. Arroyo tripped PK up in the 2nd half, but AzSt not having a legitimate EZ threat in the RZ was a killer for them. I thought PK called a 90% good game. The defense got tired and that isn't PKs fault. The 3rd and 10 with nobody at the second level in the box was a complete brain fart. PKs game plan was very good, and this coming from a dude that has been hard on him. But, I call it like I see it and can give credit where it is due. Arizona State got a lot of good fortune in this game. Lots of balls just launched up and their guys made plays, that isn't on PK. Brought pressure when needed. Had a terrific game plan for Skat4. Arroyo did a masterful job of using Skat4 in different ways and it got him going. It was two very good coaches making it hard on each other.
Sark needs to go hire Arroyo yesterday and hand over play calling duties. It has worked for Ryan Day...
