Not a problem @Son of Wasatch, we're playing the early game in Tortilla Flats and we'll have the crappy, low-rent announcers again...so we've got that going for us....
It goes in the record book as a W by 1 or 21. Iam glad for the victory,the guys fought hard to win it.
Maybe, I would hope Texas would become very aggressive on defense meaning on certain formations they would be blitzing always with a Lb,db or safety,man on man coverage.You have to get to the QB quick to mess up his throws,use the Texas players with speed to your advantage.
Actually, I watched the finals of the New Zealand pro league after Clemson and FSU.
I think weevil is saying "I don't think you watch much rugby------- because the rugby I watch,,,,,, mother fvckers actually tackle each other the first time.....".
Wrapping up and taking the ball carrier down is proper technique. Take the pads off and guys take more care when tackling.
A win against Tech, TCU and WVU and I'll be one of the guys on the bandwagon. If he gets us to 8-4 and wins his bowl game, then he should get another year.
With that said, we ain't beating WVU or Tech in Lubbock. so at best we are 6-6 or 5-7. I'm guessing 5-7.

You guys might outscore Tech like we did. Your running game is probably even good enough to control the clock vs raiders. That game is a toss up.
A win vs TT means Strong has more time to rework the defense before TCU and WV.
I can't agree with that. We've got the offense to drop 50 on them. If we do and they drop 49 on us, I'd hardly call that a fix. Would you?
If we beat Tech and hold them to 2 or 3 TD's I'll say we improved but not fixed. It also depends on when those TD's come if it's garbage time then even better. All I really care for is a W right now though and the improvement part.
I was alway taught to keep my rear-end down and my face up. Try to put my face mask between the ball carriers numbers, rip my arms up, wrap and drive threw the ball carrier.
When I watch rugby, I see guys that a subconciously aware that they don't have on helmets and pads. The grab ball carriers around the waist and try and wrestle them down to the ground.
They're going to blitz damn near every down, Tech isn't a threat to run and they can't protect Pat on every snap, he's going to get hit... a lot.
Neither team is all that great, I wouldn't be surprised to see this team rally and win out.
Tech is a one trick pony, keep everything in front like WV and TCU did and Texas can easily outscore them.
Couch burners at home is a big plus.
