**OFFICIAL Texas vs T Boone Garth Mullet football thread**

10 of those penalties were pre snap. 3 OSU penalties were declined and another off set by roughing the passer.

OSU was screwed twice on replay. I’m sorry that the touched punt (that wasn’t) led to zero points for UT.

the better team won.
No, they really didn't

Texas played like absolute dogshit. Our worst performance of the year and you barely won. Congrats.

Now see, you had an excellent post going with facts at first and it went downhill from there. You do have the ‘W’. Who had the better team is debatable depending on your perspective.

Keep this energy when you get on the wrong end of bad officiating. I'm sure you will say "I will" but you won't and still pretend that you do.

Texas had chances, but pointing out the gross discrepancy is not making excuses.

This is the play that should have been made and it might have been a different outcome. I put this one on Xavier.

Again. 10/14 Pre snap. Don’t blame the officials, that’s just bad execution.

Everyone has been screwed by officials lol. This just wasn’t one of those times.

I didn't blame officials.

One of the off setting was a roughing the passer. I've watched it several times and I still don't know how it was roughing the passer. Sanders didn't even go to the ground. And Collins' hands didn't even touch Sanders on the helmet.

The "hold" on #70 when Ewers scrambled was absolutely a game changing call. Very weak holding.

And I'm pretty sure the 10/14 were pre-snap comment is a load of shit, but carry on buddy.

All that said, Texas still should've won the game despite the dog shit officiating. Ewers played awful. Sark called an awful 2nd half.

It also doesn't matter anymore. Texas lost and not a damn thing can be done about it.

I don't know that the better team won. I do know the more disciplined team won.

This game looked just like the Alabama game in which Texas had ample opportunities to win the game and found ways to shoot themselves in the foot.

I thought it was 9 pre-snap penalties or it was at one point in the 4th. 3 offsides, and 6 false-starts. You can't blame those on the officials.

One 4th qtr false start actually helped Texas and took a pick 6 away from OSU.

I had already moved on from the loss this last weekend, but I happened to watch Josh Pate analysis this morning. He read out the 2nd half of the game’s offensive performance by Texas:

3nOut Punt
3nOut Punt
4nOut Punt
Field goal (drive began on osu20)
3nOut Punt
4nOut Punt
Missed 46yd FG
Interception
Game over

Collectively it was an offensive loss. Lineman making inopportune penalties, bad blocking was something missed passes, drops and probably some bad play calling.

If we are making a blame list, Quinn is by far at the top. Nonetheless, it isn’t useful to begin blaming.
I don't disagree. I just think for as bad as he played and it was a tie game with 5 minutes to go tells me that we have a pretty good team. We just have to learn how to finish game.

Apologies if this was discussed already but.....Did anyone else see Savion Red throw the "Crip" sign at coach Marion during their exchange on the sideline?

I did see that. Very weird and haven't heard anything else about it.

Did he mention a reason?
Sarkisian said. "I apologize to everybody for that. That'll never happen again. But again, it was not intentional. It was not premeditated by any means. That was just a mistake on my part. Nothing to do with the players. They had followed my lead on that. So that won't happen again."

Maybe he was afraid he'd get called for another penalty if he stayed on the field.

We deserved our penalties I just don't understand how OSU didn't get called for any,

You know we looked like an offense dominated by freshman and sophomores.

Does anyone think that Quinn Ewers is still not 100%?

Hey we can beat the rest of the teams left on the schedule.

Finally TCU has knocked out the qb the last 4 games although Sanders came back in. Is JT Daniels next? What's going on with that?

Was a very good game. But you guys know Mike Gundy is an outstanding coach. Has been for many years. Not sure they can beat TCU in the big 12 championship game but will see. Hope one of the two can get into the CFP. We know its not gonna be UT or my team.

It is strange how this season is shaping up. So much football left. I never bought into Texas making it this year, but as things are playing out, there may be a 2 loss team in the playoffs. I don’t think we know until Dec 3, who the cfb playoff teams will be. I haven’t been a believer in tcu, but they prove me wrong each time. I still don’t see a big 12 team finishing with less than 2 losses. Will oregon or usc finish out with there 1 loss? Still a couple of tough games remain plus the championship. Mich and osu are most likely to both make the playoff, imo. They have a favorable schedule remaining and play each other which will give one there only loss. The Big10 championship will play a weak big10 west. Georgia and Tenn look strong, but they also play each other and still have tough games and the there is a sec champ game. Can you imagine if Oregon and TCU finish out? Two teams with coaches in year one making the playoffs would be unheard of.

Go back and look at that Christian Jones hold on the long run Quinn made. That's one of the worst holding calls I have seen in a long time. That call completely flips the game in my opinion.

Would love to see TCU in it. Especially if Tennessee, Michigan and UCLA or Utah make it. Need new faces.
