It's unfortunate because his scheme actually is very effective against spread type offenses BUT, he doesn't have the type players needed to run it. I think the problem is not adjusting the scheme to fit the players he has available.
I just hate how conservative he plays at times. At some point you have to dial up pressure and try to make the QB uncomfortable. It's unfortunate because his scheme actually is very effective against spread type offenses BUT, he doesn't have the type players needed to run it. They made adjustments and we didn’t.I don’t understand how the offense can be so night and day from first half to second half. Looks like two different teams. Why do we not throw out to the flats and spread them out like we do in the first half.
WNext four games:
At KSU
Home for TCU
At Kansas
Home for Baylor
Me and you are on the same exact page. That’s how I think it plays out as well. 8-4 would be a good season in my opinion. We are playing 9 underclassmen on offense. There’s going to be growing pains.W

Even after this debauchery of a game, I think we take 3 of the 4 remaining games. Obviously we could just as easily repeat last year's wonderful finish too.
So far this season has played out exactly as I thought it would preseason except for RRSO blowout. I thought we'd win in a close slugfest but gooners never swung back.
8-4
Oh I agree but I also don't think we have the ability to dial up pressure and disallow wide open bombs. We just aren't good across the board yet. Catch 22.I just hate how conservative he plays at times. At some point you have to dial up pressure and try to make the QB uncomfortable.
Credit the Gundies. They sniffed out Quinn having a bad day and focused on stopping the run from the 2nd qtr on. They decided to make Texas beat them through the air and that was the correct decision. Maybe it was osu’s defensive schemes that confused Quinn.I don’t understand how the offense can be so night and day from first half to second half. Looks like two different teams. Quinn missed at least 3 receivers who were open and may have scored or at the least would have made an explosive play. He hits at least 2 or 3 of those and it changes the game.Credit the Gundies. We’ve lost so much I don’t even care about todays loss. I like Sark and the direction we’re headed so far. We have a lot of talent and more
coming in. Stay the course and keep playing hard. I do question how any team goes without penalty for an entire game.
Did you see on one of the last drives that he threw to Bijan in double coverage down the sideline, well JT Sanders was breaking away open down the middleQuinn missed at least 3 receivers who were open and may have scored or at the least would have made an explosive play. Whittington was wide open on that play as well.Did you see on one of the last drives that he threw to Bijan in double coverage down the sideline, well JT Sanders was breaking away open down the middle

Yeah the play calls were suspect. Running game is lights out so let’s throw the ball 49 times.2 people lost the game for us today......
Ewers and Sark
Ewers did not play well. Sark did not help him through his struggles.
They kept getting off schedule and faced a lot of 2nd and 3rd and longs. Hard to consistently run the ball like that. Then penalties on top of that.Yeah the play calls were suspect. Running game is lights out so let’s throw the ball 49 times.
One thing I haven't seen throughout this thread was some of you calling for Card. Was he injured?
I would have like to have seen him to use his mobility when all else wasn’t working. At least some wildcat as well. But, I am okay. Quinn needs as many reps as possible. One thing I haven't seen throughout this thread was some of you calling for Card. Was he injured?
Thats what she said..........Sark doesn’t need to be fired. I’m giving him at least 4 years. However, he does need to start thinking about that D.
