as long as Deshawn Watson doesn't get hurt I'm going with Clemson. Everything is in place there. They have the best coach in the country, an outstanding staff, the best qb and maybe best player in the country. If it wasn't for the greatest onside kick in the history of fb they'd have won it all last year. They had the second best spread offense in the country last year, it will probably be the best one this year. Going by what I see on these rivals lists their recruiting is truly at the Bama, and tOSU level. Their schedule is winnable the only challenge will be at FSU on 10/29. Auburn is overrated and I hope Clemson proves it on Labor Day weekend.

Who are the other four I really don't know.

I've resigned myself that Bama will be there for the next few years. Stanford well if they can find a replacement for their qb Kevin Hogan they should be there. If DW is not the best player in the country Christian McCaffrey is. They have a top ten coach in David Shaw.

That leaves the last spot to the Big X, the Big XII, and ND. How soon will it take for the buckeyes to replace all their number one draft picks? Their program seems to have reached a point to where they don't rebuild, they reload. Hope it ain't Michigan. ND? Probably a better chance than the Big XII. If OK can beat tOSU and Cougar high they have a real chance of getting in even if they lose a Big XII game. The SEC and especially the Big X dominate the playoff committee make no mistake about that. If you didn't know that you do now. I would love for them to be P5 conference left out.

So I have it at as Clemson
Bama
Stanford
and I can't pick a fourth team right now.

No and No. Clemson de-pantses you every time you play them.

The only reason you made the playoffs last year and I mean the ONLY reason was because you played every good Big XII team without their starting QB.

Yes and yes. At least they wont be 0-1 on september 4th
Look a squirrel!

And if anyone said Texas, you'd have a point with that. But as usual, you can't read or follow a conversation.

OU doesn't belong on the national stage. You embarrass the conference every time you get there.

You mistake my statement for a lack of understanding.

OU does belong on the national stage, they are on the national stage, and they'll stay there for a while.

You know what embarasses the conference? Being 11-14 over the past two years. That's just sad. I like where OU is at and cant wait to see them in the playoff again very soon!

How confident are the Sooners about September 3 and September 17?

As confident as can be I think. They wont be walks in the park but thats a good thing, you want good strong OOC competition. I'm glad OU faces a very inexperienced osu at home, it'll be an epic game!

OU does belong on the national stage!
Different definition of belonging I guess. Getting thumped every time you get there (as well as owning the all time worst loss in BCS history) to me means you shouldn't be there. That's very embarrassing to our conference btw.

Just because you luck out and sneak into a place doesn't mean you belong there.

Well what if we beat ND, and Cal in Sept? If we do that and finish 11/1 maybe we can be that team. But right now OK has the best chance in the Big XII of getting into the playoffs. But like I said it's only July.

But to make if official I have it as Clemson vs Stanford on Jan 9th in Tampa with the Tigers taking home the trophy this time.

I'm thinking the final four goes something like this.

4 Stanford
3 Clemson/FSU
2 tOSU/Michigan
1 Bama/LSU

Stanford vs tOSU/Michigan
Clemson/FSU vs Bama/LSU

Why do $ooners always deflect when talking about their team not winning anything on the national stage?

I'm very excited for next season, OU is stacked and ready to go! Looking forward to a second straight big 12 championship. You as a texas fan have no room talking about how a 11-1 OU team plays in the playoff- At least they actually made it there. If you want to do anything about it, stop going 5-7.

They gonna win! What else would those blowhards say... The defense is an unknown, but I'm sure they're certain it will hold up.

OU's defense is an unknown? I disagree, we have a very good idea of what to expect out of them. Very good secondary, very good dline ,and inexperienced LBers with lots of potential. WIll OU repeat as the conference's number 1 D?

So Texas fans can't talk on a Texas website now? That's rich. Thanks for that, okie. =)roll

Sorry but when a dumb $ooner (that's you) comes on our site and says you belong in the NC game, when all you ever do is faceplant when you get to the national stage, I will laugh at that delusional comment. Yes you snuck in there last year. You didn't belong and you know it. Clemson knows it. Everyone knows it.

Sorry you get all bent out of shape when I point out what complete losers you $ooners are on the national stage. Facts are facts though. Don't want to hear it? Quit sucking out loud when you get a bite at the apple. You're not a big boy anymore.

Wait a minute who' been embarrassing the big 12. You guys are bizarre. How many times who you won in this now Podunk conference. 3 I believe, correct me if its 3 plus. I lost count of Oklahoma's but pretty much the majority since its inception. I know you guys take the LHN and Texas selfish ways as National branding. It sure is but I think it all backfired. The Pac 12 fits the UT culture. Plenty of Californians in Austin to maybe fill the big ole stadium up for a change. You already have metallic stickers on the helmets now. That's west coast bling right there. My dream OU in SEC and Texas way out west. Since you don't think OU is a National brand end the RRR. OU will have plenty of rivals elsewhere that do have National branding. That's just me though but comparing our teams is on one game. To be champions consistency is what it demands. Stoops has that and he knows how to hire coaches that fit. Charlie still trying to master that. Stoops has fired few but many have gone on to better positions and pay because of Stoops and Oklahoma. I know I must be lying well no those are facts plain as black and white. LHN brainwash I guess I've never seen anything on it. You guys need to pick on someone less successful to compare your present day Longhorns. Maybe this is your year to earn the right to act superior. One game doesn't impress me because Iowa State cancelled my disappointment for the RRR. Your turn but please have more recent facts.

Wait a minute who' been embarrassing the big 12.
You. You suck when you get to postseason prime time. Regularly. You embarrass the conference.

Since you don't think OU is a National brand end the RRR.
OK I'll get right on that. I'll fire off a strongly worded letter today.

Maybe this is your year to earn the right to act superior.
Scoreboard may not impress you but facts are we were better than you last year.

I humbly disagree. They needed Parrish Cobb, for years the question was how to best utilize Striker...now they have to figure out who to replace him with. They are basically replacing Bond with Thomas, Striker with DeBerry or Obo and it magically works out? Is that good or bad? They got mud-holed by Clemson and will regress from last year. OU fans chant the same tune every year, I don't blame you. Usually when there are question marks, OU shows up. It's simply an observation from my distant view off on the horizon. Good luck though, they're going to need it to make the final four. Striker was your primary edge rusher, now it appears that task will be up to Obo. Aslo, aren't they moving to a 3-3-5?

“Those are some big shoes to fill,” defensive coordinator Mike Stoops said. “They were really reliable, and those were quality players across the board.”

They have no room to, doesnt mean you wont be silly enough to. You dont seem to grasp the fallacy of a fan of a team who cant win 6 games to try to talk down on a team who won 11. It reeks of aggy.

And I do say Ou belongs in the NC game, but we'll see if they earn it, lots of teams are good enough to get there, it's a matter of getting there and doing it. If Ou wasnt a big boy, they wouldnt be preseason favorites to win the conference, they wouldnt have been in the playoff last year and they most certainly wouldnt be getting such a high preseason ranking. If it was so easy to get in there, your horrible program should have won more than 5 games. You know who isnt big boys anymore? Your program and soon to be 11-15 charlie. Anyway, i'll take OU's position in the pecking order of the state of football right now over what your program is doing. I love where things are going and i am pumped about next season and OU's potential so your penny ante comments wont be bringing me down!

Why wouldnt they need Cobb, it's always good to have more talent and depth in the secondary, and there's a rumor that he's pretty good. Looking like OU has a good chance to land Okudah too, but that's a fantasy at this point. I also like their '17 commits which look solid. They had the best secondary in the conference last year and they return their best cover guy from last year, so I have reason to feel good about that. By the way Thomas is returning. They have Thomas, Thomas, And Parker returning and it might be their strongest position on D.

I dont predict the linebackers will magically work out, but they return Evans who is very good and that freshman Kelly will be very good, he'll play from day 1. Deberry and Mcginnis were high school studs so we'll just have to see how they do at the next level. Yep , big shoes to fill, doesnt mean theyre going to be bad, but they'll have to grow up fast. Shortcomings in the LB corps will be supplemented by the experience and talent of the secondary and D line up front.d

Dline is a talented rotation of guys who all have experience, plus some new guys who redshirted last year. I think they'll be about as good as they were last year, if not better overall.

I digress and I fixed my comment on Thomas, typing to fast. If you feel that good about them, they are sure to go 12-0. Hang that banner brah. My point is, they drop a few games and that will cost them a chance at the final four.

It's not like Texas didn't rush for over 300 against that "best defense" in the Big 12. I'll stick with my original analysis and say they take a step back from 2015.

What about Sanchez, Dakota Austin gonna bring the wood? Meh

A) You're a hypocrite who always enjoys a Red River win regardless of the rest of the season like I'm doing. You're dishonest. We whipped you. Ran your asses over. With no QB and a bad OC.

B) Lulz. Try not getting blown out of the water the next time you're able to back door sneak into the playoffs before you talk about nc games. Just retarded.

Heisenberg our d is questionable right now. Secondary should be solid but it hasn't been very good in years. Lb? Talent is there but it's young. Dline? We have no proven difference maker there right now. I expect it to be solid but who knows. Ou has probably one of the top 3 QBs in the nation, probably the best RB tandem, a suspect oline which was dominated vs Clemson and a wr group that just lost Maybe the best we ever at Ou .
