We cant wait for your report this year......I NEED to know first hand observations on this Jake Smith kid.....and whether our LB corps is any good at all....and if we have a DL that can play.

You are the right man for the job.....as always we expect you to be brutally honest

Oldhorn, you know every team looks like Super Bowl champs in preseason and the fans are already handing out post season awards. Hell, Hurts looked like the second coming of Johnny Unitas in the Spring game but let's see what he does against some real competition like he'll see in our first matchups with Houston and South Dakota . I think your game against LSU will tell you where you are as a team.

We cant wait for your report!

I wonder does the Gummie Bears come in Watermelon flavor and different sizezs? I await your Report!

It's going to be tough this year. I'm in the middle of a project and will be traveling a bit in August. I promise to do my best to make it up there.

I cannot wait to see Jake in action. His speed is comparable to several we've seen before. Goodwin, Monroe, and Charles come to mind, but I don't think any of those guys had the acceleration this guy has.

He's literally at top speed in two steps. I have to go all the way back to my man Metcalf to find a suitable comparison. Kid is going to be electric, and like they said about Metcalf, he'll be a TD waiting to happen every time he touches the ball.

Whittington has some jets as well.... for 220 lbs! Cool Aid is going down smooth.... I am worried about inside linebacker.

That to me sounds like an excuse. You know what they say about ecuses, they are like butt holes, everyone has one and they all stink.

Now get to that practice and give us a report. What are we paying you for?

Oh I didn't know I was getting paid. Is this a one time payment of retainer or do I get to charge my hourly rate?

So in today's post practice presser, Devin claims he's still the fastest guy on the team. Really Duvs? I dunno, I'd love to see a race between him and Jake.

Jake is a 4.5 guy at best. He looks faster than he is because he has a smooth stride. Kind of like Vince's stride but no where near as long. Vince ran like a 4.7 but because he could glide--- he looked faster. Not that 4.5 is slow--- but we've got a roster full of DBs that run 4.4s.

I thought I read he was already 2nd or 3rd fastest on the team.

Sorry I disagree. Colt ran a 4,5, this guy is definitely faster than Colt. We'll see. I remember a lot of people trying to me D'onta Foreman was a 4.5 guy at best, too. I won that that argument.

.....but....but.....but....I read that his 40 time was 4.37.... Are you saying that the inter net is WRONG????....How can that be?.....and what about the coach that said...."Jake is fast...like the fastest kid in the world fast...." ......that was wrong too?

Hand time vs laser time. Dudes that run a 4.4 on a laser track are fast. Laser don't lie.

I saw on fanatic perspective that Keaontay Ingram considered his freshman season a failure because he didn't average 5 ypc. You have to like that kind of attitude. He'll get more carries this year and if he meets his standards we're bound to have an improved running game this year.

I noticed something on Ingram's profile. His major is human dimensions of organizations. Should I laugh, feel sorry for the kid, or is he the kind of kid who could've gone to Harvard I don't know what to think. Like everyone else we got a lot of the kind of majors reserved for fb players. But this one takes the cake.

Honestly, what I have noticed is that the mental approach of everyone I have heard is very much what I would expect from a NFL veteran or a young man on a champion level team like Bama or Clemson.

That is a really good sign for this team.

So this is actually our Liberal Arts College Answer to the Ivy League Schools. It looks like it replaces the Plan 2 build your own liberal arts degree. It looks like they changed the focus to add some real world business skills to the program. It can be really easy or really hard depending on the classes the student decides to take. If there isn't a requirement on lower division coursework then they can take a lot of intro level courses.

As a Plan II boy, the first 2 years are mostly required courses, or were in my day. The program was modeled on Dr. Hutchins' degree program at U Chicago in the 30s. Last 2 years are up to you. I ended up with 144 hours, no degree and admission to UT Southwestern.

Greg Davis is at practice. We are sooooooo fooooked.
