Texas hasn't scored more than 30 points since the Red River Shootout. That changes this week. Florida has the 14th ranked scoring defense in the SEC.
Combine that with the fact that the Gators (no matter what head coach Billy Napier has been saying all week) are going to have to start redshirt freshman Aidan Warner at QB. Warner is smart, having transferred from Yale, but that means he's smart enough to know he can't beat this Texas defense.

Let's keep it a buck... in a season full of opposing quarterback situations that has mostly been pretty terrible, the worst of the bunch is headed to Austin with the Gators down to the third-string redshirt freshman transfer from Yale who has a career quarterback rating that is roughly half of the numbers Case McCoy or Tyrone Swoopes produced as starters. There will be no danger in this game for the Longhorns, which means it's all about Quinn Ewers' ability to use the Gators as a 4-quarters slumpbuster. I'm taking all the mores on Prize Picks that feature Ewers. Yolo!

Florida issued a press release on Thursday announcing Billy Napier would not lose his job after the season. That is great news for Napier. However, better news for the Longhorns.
Napier's job stability means he does not need to rush DJ Lagway onto the field after his quarterback sustained a hamstring injury against Georgia last week. Instead, Napier can play Aiden Warner and not worry about losing against Texas.
This Texas defense against a walk-on quarterback?
Enjoy, Longhorn fans.

This is not a good Florida team and it’s decimated by injuries. If DJ Lagway plays the Gators may have some offensive success but he’ll be limited and the Gators will be one-dimensional. If he’s out, Florida literally has zero chance of winning this game.
