OT: Best place to buy a new laptop for my son?

My son is entering high school this year and I need to get him his own laptop. When I’ve needed computers for myself over the years, I usually just shop at a place like Office Max or Walmart since I really just need something that can handle basic functions. Probably looking for something similar for him.

Is a place like that my best bet, or are there other places I should be looking? TIA
