Was inspired by a recent trip to Monument Valley in Utah/Arizona to re-watch the classic John Ford westerns Stagecoach, and Fort Apache, both of which were set in the valley — and starring none other than the Duke himself, a young John Wayne. Damn, those are really good movies and I appreciate them even more having seen where they were filmed back in the day.
Any other John Ford fans out there? I want to watch his documentary on the Battle of Midway, which he witnessed and filmed first hand. And of course he made a bunch of other good movies.
