TLDR: if you are having physical issues, or wanting to improve your quality of life, check into your B12 levels, and what peptides can do for you. If you need a source for expertise send a DM to @Jamaicashane

I wanted to share a story since recently there was a thread regarding a specific peptide which got my attention.

Quick background: My wife (from Nam) has been struggling for a good 3 years now. She is post-menopausal, and has struggled mightily with lack of energy, and mental cognition. She can literally get up from the couch, take a few step, and forget what she was getting up for. It got to the point where she could barely leave the house, slept a lot during the day, and our grown kids noticed her memory issues.

After reading the peptide thread, our very own @Jamaicashane responded to the thread, indicating that he has a clinic in Houston, and treats individuals with hormone imbalances, and improves overall quality of life with specific peptides designed for different situations. I reached out to Dr. Camp, and he agreed to help us remotely, we live in Austin. First thing he did was order a battery of very specific lab work (specific blood tests), plus an MRI to rule in or rule out early onset of Alzheimer's / dementia. Dr. Camp being a neurologist, we figured we'd give it all a try. We have literally visited countless Drs, had so many tests done, and spent quite a bit of $, to be told we can't find anything definitive...no treatment options.

Once all of the tests were done, and evaluated by @Jamaicashane he indicated she had a significant B12 deficiency, plus there is an additional marker that indicated whatever B12 she did have was not bioavailble (body wasn't absorbing), and ruled out any dementia disease from the MRI. She was also deficient in testosterone, it turns out women need a small amount.

Wife made an appointment, drove to his clinic in Houston, and had Bioidentical hormones pellets implanted, a B12 injection, and a vial of a peptide called Semax. I researched the Semax peptide, and there are countless medical literature, and studies that show the ability to influence how a brain process dopamine, and serotonin, and gets the brain firing back the way it is supposed to. The peptide is given via an insulin syringe, and easy to administer daily at home.

I have to tell you, that within (3) days, I have my wife back, and our kids have their mom back. The results are nothing short of a miracle. My wife went from marginally be able to function on a daily basis (no way she could have held down a job), to having great energy levels, great mental acuity, and almost zero memory loss. We had very low expectations, as everything we had tried previously yielded no results.

If you or anyone you know has similar issues, or even just wants to improve quality of life as we age, I would certainly look into your B12 levels, as well as peptides as a possible solution.

Thank you @Jamaicashane -- our family cannot thank you enough, the results are incredible, and life changing.

@Ketchum -- you recently sent out a survey, with one question being what the true value of this message board was...while Longhorn sports brings most of us here, the community, and wealth of knowledge / sharing far outweighs the sports coverage.
