Specifically.... wondering if an active passport may now be actually required, to walk across, visit the farmacias, and come back? And any new limits to quantity you can bring back for personal use?

Maybe as part of revisions to border policies, and crack-downs etc that Trump administration is enforcing, etc ?

I last went to Nuevo Progresso 2 years back. While all the websites said you needed a passport officially, you actually did not in reality. And I let mine expire recently.

The upcoming free weekend that I have coming up, to go down there is in a timeframe that is WAY before the time and steps required to renew my passport.

Thanks in advance
