Go figure...K-State gets screwed this week. Boone must be shelling out some cash.

K-State lost to Oklahoma State, 36-34. Inept Big 12 officials gifted Oklahoma State a touchdown.

Big 12 Conference officials demonstrated stunning incompetence today, gifting Oklahoma State a first down that ultimately resulted in a touchdown. A very important touchdown, given that the Cowboys eventually defeated K-State, 36-34.

K-State scored its fourth touchdown with a little less than five minutes remaining in the first half. At the time, the Wildcats led, 28-13. After a poor kickoff return, Oklahoma State had the ball back on its own 17-yard line with 4:30 remaining in the half.

After a couple first downs, the Cowboys had first and 10 from the K-State 44-yard line with 2:59 remaining. The line to gain is the K-State 34-yard line.

First down and 10: Mason Rudolph hits a long completion, but a holding call wipes it out. Now it's first down and 20 to go from the OSU 46-yard line.

Second down and 27: Rudolph completes a short pass for four yards. It's third down and 23 from the OSU 41-yard line. TV shows it closer to the 42-yard line.

At this point, it should be fourth down and four yards to go.

The line to gain was the K-State 34-yard line.

The third down play gained the K-State 38-yard line.

Here is video in case you're interested.

Instead, the officials awarded the Pokes a first down. Four plays later, the Cowboys scored a touchdown to make the score 28-20.

Think that touchdown may have been important in a game that ended in a 36-34 win for Oklahoma State?

K-State fell all over itself to apologize for a stupid band formation. John Currie and Kirk Schluz better demand an explanation and investigation by the Big 12.

*The sticks were pretty clearly moved. You can see two shots of them in the first minute and 30 seconds. The first down stick was moved from the 34 to the 39.

You can actually see the marker in the first photo posted by the OP. It's on the 34. Pause the video linked above at 1:15. The first down stick is now on the 39.

Oh, you can also see the moved stick on the second picture, too.

Honestly, though. That's just incompetence. Moving the stick back five yards is not how you're going to use the refs to cheat.

And I thought the crew that did the OU-WVU game were bad. Same guys who did your game with OSU. Went bonkers with the flags. OU had 3 personal fouls in one drive. At least it wasn't one sided. Must have been 250 yards in penalties on both sides.

But fans gripe about penalties all the time. Missing 5 yards takes the cake. Was really impressed how a near talentless team, at least offensively (KState was playing its fifth string QB, WR Cook), could hang with OState. But typical Synder team; no TOs, good special teams, good D. Fundamentals. Will be a load for both OU and the Horns.

I'm not sure how K-State could score 34 points against that great defense. OSU has received several big breaks over the past 2 weeks.

If OSU wins the Big XII and Gundy gets a bonus he better make sure the zebras get a piece.

How about the lack of a targeting call in the first quarter in OUr game? The safety had an absolute targeting helmet-to-helmet hit that didn't even draw a flag, which should have given OU a first down and had their safety tossed out of the game for the final three quarters!
At least for the OU-WVU game, they were roughly equally bad for both teams. For the UT-OsU game last week, the zebras worked really hard to keep the game close enough for a big play to decide at the end. The KSU-OsU game had the same feel to it.
Even T. Boone Nose-Pickin can't keep this up - two "managed" games per year should be all the Cowgirls get!!!
