This cold weather was perfect for a pot of chicken and dumplings. We use my wife's grandmother's recipe which was handed down for a century or more. Funny thing is, when Big Momma made them, they were big gooey dough balls, but when her daughter (wife's aunt) made them, they were rolled out thin and cut into strips - which to me was just chicken noodle soup. How do you like them?

I make them from my great grandmothers recipe. Rolled out thick strips......

Big fluffy. I would have thrown aunt’s dish on the floor.
 
I would have given her a “what for” before throwing it on the floor.
I would have liked to have seen that. She was one tough old gal. She once held a shotgun on an oilfield crew and made them fix her fence they knocked down because her cows were getting out.
