Post-Game Ramblings – UTEP

Running upright should mean that he is actually running faster, but dude is slower than slow and still running upright. That should tell you what his real problem is.

He seriously needs to lose about 20 lbs or move to TE or defense. He isn't going to be an effective running back at his current weight, he is just too slow.
That and the fact he is just thinking too much about where to run. Foreman is a big kid as well but what he does is get behind his pads and run threw folks. He doesn't dance around and hope to find a hole. He just run threw the design hole and if it's not open, he bounce. CW gets to the hole and run up high. He needs to lower his body and power threw. I don't see it as a problem. It's correctable but him changing position won't solve his problem. He is a RB, no doubt.

Let's wait until after the TT game. I love watching defenders bounce off him like pinballs.

Really? How do you know what I anticipate? OSU is a big time school, big time coach and big time players. I'm certainly not predicting victory by any means but OSU is vulnerable in areas just as OU is. Tulsa shot themselves in the foot yesterday because that game had a chance to be very different at least in the first half then it was.
Just saying that big time coach and big time program just got punked this weekend by a MUCH lesser opponent. BUT, make OSU what you want to to feel better about playing them.

Err, Derp, errrr, hey Ag, I'm referring to Ohio State the team OU plays this weekend NOT Oklahoma State. Did you even watch football this weekend? Who did Tulsa play?

Don't buy too much into it, you tried to sale of the Chippewas as Okie lite being vanilla... Surely you could say the same about Ohio State. This is the first time OU is a home dog since what, 2001?

48-3 final? Sluggish start sort of like Texas had against UTEP and then punched them in the teeth!

SPEAKING of SLOW START:

Texas, slow start, 1 big play for a TD in the first half, 160 yards on 8 possessions/32 plays given up to UTEP. HALF TIME....73 yards on 29 plays in 2 quarters, no points, hello freshmen, game over. Backups and freshmen all over the field. Literally!

After a dominating win against UTEP, we talked with some of our sources in the football offices to get the latest on the team.
  • The coaches feel pretty good about the way the team played despite it being an obvious trap situation. Texas was without a number of their players, and they responded on both sides of the ball. The biggest issue right now is with the number of penalties and unforced errors. The team is working to clean that up.
  • Speaking of missing players, we were told that a number of the players held out against UTEP were not dealing with serious injuries. Many of them were precautionary measures to make sure the team is as healthy as possible before a tough segment of their schedule.
  • There is some concern about how the team will respond to their first road game. Cal does have an explosive offense, and a late night start on the west coast could present some challenges. The young players on the team (especially Shane Buechele) have responded at every turn so far.
  • Expectations are starting to rise within the fan base, but the team is reminded that they have to play consistently week to week.
  • Expect to see some shuffling among the reserves on the offensive line. One of the real disappointments from Saturday was the pass protection from that group. The Achilles heel of this team could be the lack of quality depth at key positions, the offensive line being first and foremost.

Do you not understand sarcasm?? it was meant as a joke. I don't have a beef with Sooners, I was just trying to mess with you.
