This one could get interesting. With Applewhite taking over the Houston job, you would assume DC Todd Orlando will probably leave for the same job at Texas.
Where it could get interesting is with Craig Naivar, currently the co-DC/safeties coach for Houston. When Herman was first hired, there were reports that Naivar was coming over with him to Texas. I was told that Naivar's plan was to stay at Houston, see if either Applewhite or Orlando got the job, and then decide. If Applewhite wants to retain him and makes Naivar his defensive coordinator, it could get interesting and throw a bit of a wrench into what everyone was thinking would happen.
From people I've talked to, Naivar is a terrific recruiter, so this will be a situation worth watching closely over the next week or so.
