Just talked to my source. Here’s what he said.

• Ewers has made the jump to elite. The ball hasn’t touched the ground when he’s throwing.
• He doesn’t want to get carried away, but the defensive backs have been borderline dominant, even against the first-team offense.
• This is the best offensive line we’ve had since the 2005 team. They are flat-out mauling everyone they face.
• The defensive line is going to surprise people in a good way, especially inside. At times they can be unblockable. Still some work to do on the finer points, but these guys have exceeded expectations in a big way.
