Friend’s father’s brother dies. Dead guy is US citizen. Friends Dad is US citizen living in Romania and is executor of the will (Virginia)
Deceased is survived by wife who has dementia but has not been committed. Wife has been found incapable of executing contracts etc. She has full time care
Issue is Executor cannot access assets of deceased to support wife because (actually the reason my friend says makes no sense) - they have a virginia lawyer who is not moving things along.
Probate not done. Need better lawyer.
Estate is of a size that can afford a good lawyer
